Honkai: Star Rail is a game that offers more than just action-packed turn-based gameplay. With various puzzles integrated into the game, players can expect an extra layer of challenge that's also rewarding. These puzzles not only provide a sense of accomplishment but also give significant rewards upon completion. However, some of these puzzles may require players to revisit certain locations over multiple days to unlock additional rewards and secrets, making the game a truly engaging experience. Moreover, as unlocking chests is one of the most effective ways to earn EXP when players run out of Trailblaze Power or Quests, repeated puzzles in Honkai: Star Rail can also serve as a means to boost the player's Trailblaze Level for a few days. This adds an extra incentive for players to engage with the game's puzzles and explore its world in-depth.
In the Cloudford area of The Xianzhou Liofu, players will encounter a unique puzzle involving a Navigation Compass and a timetable. By aligning the different layers of the compass through switching and rotating their sections, players can receive new ships that come with chest rewards. Some ships require additional actions, like defeating monsters or using an access code to receive a chest, as seen on the second day. Players can solve up to four different navigation compasses in the same day for a total of three days. To ensure they don't miss out, players can find the puzzle logo on the west side of the lower port and return to the puzzle location in the upcoming days. These puzzles are not only fun and challenging, but they also offer valuable rewards to boost a player's progress.
How To Solve The Last Puzzle
Solving the navigation compass puzzles in Honkai: Star Rail involves a fair bit of trial and error, as players must try out different alignments until all the layers can be aligned. However, players should avoid trying to align the layers one by one since all switch options rotate two of the layers in this particular puzzle. One effective solution is to first switch the gears to affect the outer and mid-circles, rotate once, then switch to mid and inner circles, rotate four times to align the inner circle, and finally switch back to outer and mid-circles and rotate once more to align all the layers. This will result in a closed container, which is different occurrence than usual after solving the puzzle.
Upon investigating the closed container, players will come across an eager man who mentions being stuck inside the container, without any clothes. To proceed, players need to find Yujin before the starskiff can leave the port. The timetable will provide the hint that "that teacher" is stuck, prompting players to find Yujin to unlock the container.
Yujin's Location
Yujin's location can be easily missed as players may not remember which zone she was in. However, she can be easily found by teleporting to Starwatcher Avenue at Central Starskiff Haven near the Strale merchant and pawnbroker Handian, then heading south from the Space Anchor. Players will encounter Yunjin, the owner of Cloudbreadth Sleeves, and if they have not spoken to her before, they will need to select some dialogue options to unlock the "I'll help 'that teacher' with his fetch errand" option. Once they have this option, they can receive the Clothes for "That Teacher" quest item.
Rewards For Helping That Teacher
Once players obtain the item, they can return to Cloudford for the Navigation Compass, investigate the container again, and submit the quest item. By doing so, they will receive 10 Strale and 1 Condensed Aether, as well as a precious chest inside, which rewards them with 2 4-star Thief Relic Set Pieces, Trailblaze EXP, 30 Stellar Jade, and 20 additional Strale. There are no achievements to be obtained.
