Honkai: Star Rail is a popular gacha fantasy video game set in a futuristic environment. The game features tons of quests, such as Night on the Great Mine, that test the exploration and combat skills of the players. To: The Faint Star is another one of these quests.

Meet Rocky
Upon reaching level 13, the player will get a number of texts on their cell phone. One of these texts is from the character Rocky, a galactic geography researcher mistaking the player for his crush Lesley. After a little bit of chit-chatting, it is revealed that Rocky has confessed his love to Lesley and has not got a response yet. Upon learning this, players will have to go and meet Rocky at the Master Control Zone, the fastest route to which is through teleporting into Herta's Office. Rocky says that the communication problem is because of some malfunction in the Galaxy Airwave Repeater and will ask the player to look into it.
Examine the Galaxy Airwave Repeater
The Galaxy Airwave Repeater can be found in the Storage Zone, and the quickest way there is by teleporting to the Control Center Space Anchor. After examining the repeater, players will find out that two parts of the repeater have been misplaced. The next objective is to find those missing ultra-nickel parts.
Find the Lost Parts
Luckily for players, the lost parts can be found in the same location where the repeater is. The first part is rather easy to locate since it is in a chest right across the room. However, finding the second part can be somewhat tricky, as it might involve fighting a monster and altering the paths. Only after retrieving both parts can the repeater be fixed.
Find the Culprit
To unravel the mystery of who tampered with the repeater, players need to teleport straight to the Monitoring Room and go through the surveillance footage. It turns out to have been Bernard, Rocky's research mentor, who tampered with the repeater.
Twist in the Tail
The next step, of course, is confronting Bernard in the Master Control Zone and asking him questions. Bernard says he did it for Rocky's own good. He does, however, give the player two signal logs; the red one is a lie, while the blue is the truth. This is where the players have to make a tough choice whether to tell Rocky the truth or the lie. Either way, the mission is completed and players can claim various rewards.
