It feels like everything can be a hidden mission in Honkai: Star Rail and even destructible objects aren’t an exception. For instance, destroying a barrel somewhere in the Overworld of Jarilo-VI will get players scolded by a Silvermane Guard, which eventually leads to a hidden achievement.

Meanwhile, in the Xianzhou Luofu of Honkai: Star Rail, players can meet an Immortal in a Vase that grants the Far From the Madding Crowd or Let The Wind Blow Where It May achievement, based on the players’ choice.

To reach the Immortal in a Vase in Honkai: Star Rail, players can use either Space Anchor in Exalting Sanctum, then head northeast of the Realm-Keeping Commission Chancery. Players would have gone to the Commission building in the main quest, but some side quests like the weapon scam in Honkai: Star Rail also end up with players having to go here.

After finding the vase, try to break it, and a conversation with the Immortal in a Vase will start. Eventually, the vase will ask for five trashes. Players should have a lot of these if they have been destroying every breakable object they come across or digging through trash cans in every corner. If they don’t, though, sadly, Trailblazers must find five pieces of trash before they can continue with this hidden mission.

Afterward, the Immortal In a Vase will reward players, and they need to return on the next day for the achievement-deciding conversation.

The next day, return to the Immortal in a Vase who will ask for a Praise of High Moral. A lot of hidden tasks will reward this item, so players should explore the world thoroughly to get one. For example, one can be obtained in the Goethe Hotel by entering the wardrobe, or another one will be rewarded by fixing a trash can in Underworld Belobog.

If this is the first time players use the Praise of High Morals, they will obtain the Karmic Wheel achievement. There are plenty of places where players can use the thumbs-up item. For example, to obtain the Dazzling Golden Watch in Honkai: Star Rail.

After accepting the vase’s gift on the second day, the Far From the Madding Crowd achievement will be rewarded.

However, if players reject the vase’s gift by choosing I’m not sticking my hand in there again at the end of the dialogue, the Let the Wind Blow Where It May achievement will be given instead. The gift from the vase will not be obtained (it’s nothing important, so don’t worry), but players will still get the normal 10 Strale reward.

What Happens If You Destroy The Immortal In a Vase In Honkai: Star Rail?

Once the hidden mission ends, players can finally destroy the vase. However, considering there’s a literal being inside it, one would question if that’s even ethical. If Trailblazers decide to go through this route, though, a haunting dialogue will appear where the narrator convinces them that nothing happened here and that it’s best like this. There’s no achievement or reward from doing this, and the vase will never come back, so it’s best to not do this vile action.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
