Honkai: Star Rail has the makings of a wonderful turn-based RPG. It's got a good story, charming characters, and a lovingly-crafted universe that ties them all together. However, it's still a gacha game at heart, and it features one of the mechanics that the sub-genre is notorious for: a Stamina system.

Trailblaze Power is Honkai: Star Rail's version of the classic gacha Stamina system that's designed to limit how fast players can progress. Every point of Trailblaze Power is precious, as it basically dictates how fast characters can get strong and how much content players can blaze through in a day. With that said, here are some recommendations on how to spend Trailblaze Power according to the usual in-game level brackets.

Honkai: Star Rail Farming Priority

As players go through the Jarilo-VI storyline, they will gradually unlock all the farmable domains in Honkai: Star Rail, from resource-dropping Calyxes to the Caverns of Corrosion, which houses the many different Relics players need to build their units.

The rewards players earn from these domains scale based on their Equilibrium level—the higher the world difficulty, the better the rewards. With that said, going straight to Relic farming may not be the best idea, and spending every ounce of Trailblaze Power on grinding for EXP materials might not be a good thing to do either. The most efficient Trailblaze Power sinks are as follows:

  • Trailblaze Level 10-30: Credits, EXP, and Character Material Calyxes
  • Trailblaze Level 30-40: Simulated Universe Worlds 5 and 6, Stagnant Shadows, Echoes of War
  • Trailblaze Level 40+: Character Materials, Caverns of Corrosion, high-difficulty Simulated Universe

At the first few Trailblaze levels, players won't really have many worthwhile activities to use their Trailblaze Power on. It would be best to spend them to get Credits, Ascension materials, and EXP books. These will help the player's roster keep up as Equilibrium levels increase in the future.

For Trailblaze Level 30-40, farming World 5 and 6 of the Simulated Universe are highly recommended. These are the first places where players will be able to get 5-Star gear in the form of Planar Ornaments. World 5 drops the Pan-Galactic Commercial Enterprise (Effect Hit Rate) and Celestial Differentiator (CRIT DMG). Meanwhile, World 6 drops Inert Salsotto (CRIT Rate) and Belobog of the Architects (DEF).

Many players will be stuck between Trailblaze Levels 40 and 50 for quite some time, and they'll have plenty of leeway to farm for whatever their team needs. Regardless, Character Materials should still be on the top of the priorities list here as it is the least subjected to RNG, and players will need to have their core units at level 60 so they don't get instantly downed by higher-level enemies.

Caverns of Corrosion will start to drop 5-star Relics at this point, but they only guarantee one 5-Star drop per run. It's not as efficient as in higher world levels, but it'll help players gear their characters up for the future. The same idea goes for higher-difficulty Simulated Universe runs. Once players have enough materials to max their characters and their Traces out at level 60, feel free to focus on farming Relics.

Honkai: Star Rail is available on PC and mobile devices. A PlayStation version is coming soon.
