Relic Sets play a crucial role in Honkai: Star Rail, as they offer a significant boost to a character's overall strength. Much like artifact sets in Genshin Impact, Relic Sets provide unique bonuses and effects when equipped to a character. These sets are available in varying rarities, ranging from 1 to 5 stars, with higher rarity sets providing more potent bonuses and the ability to be upgraded further.

With the introduction of Relic Sets, Honkai: Star Rail offers a deeper level of customization and strategic gameplay. Players can equip their characters with Relic Sets that complement their playstyle and objectives. For instance, a player might choose a Relic Set that provides additional healing and defensive bonuses to a support character, while opting for a set that increases damage output and critical hit rate for a DPS character. Ultimately, the Relic Sets system allows for a more personalized and nuanced approach to character development, enabling players to maximize their potential and excel in battle.

There are numerous ways for players to enhance their characters in Honkai: Star Rail, but not all of them require Trailblaze Power. While equipping and leveling up relic sets can greatly improve a character's strength, players should be cautious about actively farming for the right stats and spending their Trailblaze Power, especially if they are still at lower levels.

It's recommended that players wait until they have reached higher equilibrium levels before investing too much in relic farming, as it will be more efficient to farm for 5-star relics at that point. This approach will ensure that players are making the most of their resources and optimizing their character builds.

Special Currency Redeem Reward

Although not a consistent method, players can obtain 4-star relic sets for their characters by redeeming Special Currency Rewards that are earned by completing quests, opening chests and exploring the world. Once a sufficient amount of points has been accumulated, players can redeem an item by visiting a designated merchant whose location is indicated by a small notification on the map. In addition to 4-star relic items, players can also acquire other materials, and as they accumulate and spend more points, they can earn other rewards such as Star Rail passes, light cones, and Stellar Jade.

Exploration (Chests and Interactive Objects)

Players will discover that as they progress through the different worlds and open chests, they may come across low-level relics as drops. However, as they advance further, they will encounter puzzle chests and bountiful chests that have the potential to drop 4-star relics amongst other rewards.

Trailblaze Level Rewards

Players can receive relic set pieces as rewards by reaching certain Trailblaze Levels and redeeming the level rewards from Pom Pom. At the beginning levels, players will only receive low-level relics, but as they progress and reach level 20 and beyond, the rewards become more bountiful.

Operation Briefing Completion Reward

By completing Operation Briefing tasks, players can earn a significant amount of Trailblazer EXP, which can help them progress quickly in the game. Furthermore, completing all tasks in certain parts, such as part 3, 5, or 7, can also reward players with a full set of certain relics. This not only enhances the strength of their characters but also gives them an incentive to complete all the tasks in each Operation Briefing.

Omni Synthesizer

Upon reaching Equilibrium Level 3, which is at level 40 or higher, players can unlock a new feature in their Omni Synthesizer in Honkai: Star Rail. This feature enables players to craft their own Relic with custom stats.

Although the stats of the crafted relic are generally random, players can use a limited item called the Self-Modeling Resin to customize the relic's main stat. This feature can greatly reduce the need to farm for relics, making it an advantageous tool for players.

Echo of War

Echo of War is Honkai: Star Rail's version of the Weekly Boss system found in Genshin Impact. It provides players with a limited way of obtaining certain relics once they reach level 25. While the main purpose of this domain is to acquire unique materials to upgrade character traces, completing it can also yield various relic sets and light cones of different rarities. It's important to note that players are restricted to only 3 attempts per week, so it's recommended to use all available attempts.

Cavern of Corrosion

The Cavern of Corrosion offers players the opportunity to acquire Cavern Relics, which provide set bonuses of either 2 or 4 pieces. Although players may not have immediate access to all the different relic domains, they can eventually unlock them by simply travelling near them during their explorations.

Each Cavern of Corrosion features two unique relic sets, and players will randomly receive 2-3 pieces of varying rarities depending on the Difficulty Level. As players progress and reach higher Equilibrium Levels, they can unlock more challenging Difficulty Levels. Those who face difficulty with certain enemies can also utilize Support characters from their friends to help them overcome tough challenges. Redeeming the rewards cost 40 Trailblazer Power

Simulated Universe

At World Level 3, players can obtain Planar Ornaments primarily through the Simulated Universe, which only provides 2-set bonuses. Each world in the Simulated Universe offers different set options, and as players progress through higher difficulty levels starting from Equilibrium Level 3 at level 40, they will be able to access 5-star versions of these sets by clearing them for the first time or defeating certain elite or boss enemies.

The Immersion Rewards can also be redeemed for 40 Trailblazer power, but players who find it challenging to defeat the boss can still redeem them from earlier enemies. This feature can be helpful for those who prefer not to repeat the entire exploration process each time.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
