Honkai: Star Rail has a variety of items that can be used for multiple purposes. From health regeneration to leveling up, these items have their own roles in the gameplay. Many have extremely cool effects, while some act as just collectibles. One thing to root for is they aren’t in the game for nothing; the Honkai devs have a reason for putting it there.
Ancient Coins are among the numerous strategically developed elements in Honkai: Star Rail. The game defines the coins as vintage items traced to a time when metal was abundant in Belobog. The description clearly shows that these coins are ancient since Belobog thrived almost a millennium ago. That said, here is all the information on collecting and using Ancient Coins.
Honkai: Star Rail - How to Find the Ancient Coins
Since there is no scarcity of gameplay resources in Honkai: Star Rail, finding some of them requires creative methods. And one of the hilarious odysseys is the Belobog Trash Cans Quest; the tasks require players to talk with Trash Cans. The same applies to finding these Ancient Coins, but players have a choice of two ways to achieve it. Both ways have a tad bit of humor to them.
- Players need to break objects inside Jarilo-VI.
- Players have to search every trash can of Belobog.
To discover the Ancient Coins, Honkai: Star Rail players need to reach the Jarilo-VI. Once there, search for objects like crates, cylinders, and barrels with a crosshair. Participants can start smashing any object with such a mark nearby; the blue target symbol indicates it can be broken. This will reward players with several of these old coins. Remember that the coins are not guaranteed with every try, but fortunate players may obtain more than 3 in a successful attempt.
Another way to obtain Ancient Coins is by searching Trash Cans. It might not sound right, but Trash Cans have humor in Honkai: Star Rail and now also grant coins. Players can get Ancient Coins by searching inside these talking Trash Cans, but the rule remains the same. Only some bins will have these coins, and players may get other interesting items instead of them. This method also doesn’t guarantee getting the coins, but since the Belobog Trash Cans talk, players can at least enjoy their hilarious dialogues.
Honkai: Star Rail - What Are Ancient Coins Used for
Several achievements and quests in the game require items to complete. Ancient Coins are currently used to complete the “Twinkly, Winkly” achievement. Apart from that, these coins are just objects of the past and are described as mission items in Honkai: Star Rail. Not much is known about other missions that require Ancient Items, but all that can change in the future.
That said, completing the “Twinkly, Winkly” achievement rewards players with 5 Stellar Jades. Similar achievements are found under the “The Memories We Share” tab, but none require Ancient Coins. Only the “Twinkly, Winkly” achievement has any connection to these old items.
