Players can make a wide variety of different team comps in Honkai: Star Rail, but the best ones are always those that have impeccable synergy between its party members. In many cases, such synergy is most often seen between a Support unit and the rest of the party's members.

Asta is one such Support character who can be very strong with the right build and team compositions. She can bring out the best in certain characters while providing solid ATK buffs to everyone else in general. Here are two Honkai: Star Rail party setups with Asta taking

Asta's value comes from her ability to increase the team's damage and buff everyone's SPD. The former is universally useful, while the latter is at its strongest when combined with a specific playstyle and a team that likes to go fast. Keep in mind that due to the importance of Weakness Breaking in Honkai: Star Rail, players should always build their teams according to the content they're tackling.

Support Asta Hypercarry Comp

This is a general play/SImulated Universe setup that focuses on Asta's Charging buff, which grants a massive ATK boost when fully stacked:

  • DPS: Seele/Sushang
  • Support 1: Asta
  • Support 2: Bronya
  • Tank: Fire Trailblazer/Gepard

Seele and Sushang are capable of dealing extreme damage to single targets, and they both scale well with SPD buffs (especially Sushang, considering her kit).

Bronya serves as this team's primary damage enabler. Use Combat Redeployment and The Belobog March together whenever Asta's Charging stacks are maxed out. Otherwise, Bronya should be responsible for generating Skill Points. Meanwhile, the team tank should always try to mitigate as much incoming damage as possible through shields while acting as a secondary SP generator.

Bronya can be swapped out for Tingyun or a different Harmony character if needed.

The lack of a healer means the team won't be able to survive in sustained combat. However, the double damage buffs from two supports mean that players will be able to make very quick work of Echoes of War bosses. Also, in the Simulated Universe, players can have the Path of the Abundance to do all the healing for them.

Asta will be very Skill Point-hungry in team comps that rely on her Charging stacks, so try to balance the party's SP usage between keeping this buff up and using abilities to deal damage.

Gotta Go Fasta Team Comp

Honkai Star Rail Mr. Welt Gameplay

This Asta team comp goes hard on her ultimate to keep her team on top of the turn order:

  • DPS: Dan Heng
  • Support 1: Asta
  • Support 2: Welt
  • Tank: March 7th

Here, Asta serves as the cherry on top of the Dan Heng/Welt combo. If played properly, these two characters alone can repeatedly push enemies down to the bottom of the turn order, essentially giving the entire team the freedom to chain back-to-back attacks.

Players should use Asta here as a Skill Point generator and SPD bot. She can't afford to spam her Meteor Shower skill in this comp because all the team's SP is going to be used by Welt and Dan Heng. Thankfully, Asta can still build Charging stacks with her basic attacks while also inflicting Burn, assuming players have her Sparks Trace unlocked.

March 7th is here as a safety net and secondary SP generator. Her main focus is to keep enemies frozen just in case Welt, and Dan Heng run out of Skill Points to use. She can be swapped out for an element-appropriate character if the team needs someone to inflict Weakness Break.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
