Bronya Rand, the Supreme Guardian of Belobog, is one of the best offensive support units in Honkai: Star Rail. She's an extremely versatile character that's useful in all content, from general exploration and story questing to the brutally difficult encounters in Herta's Simulated Universe and the Memory of Chaos.

Deciding which team members to take in Honkai: Star Rail can be confusing. Luckily, with Bronya's flexibility, she can be a great asset anywhere the player decides to take her. However, with everyone on the roster being compatible with the Supreme Guardian's capabilities, it can be hard to pick who gets top priority. Here's a guide on how to build a Bronya team.

Honkai: Star Rail Bronya Team Compositions

The important thing to understand that makes Bronya different is that she can fit in any team that requires an offensive buffer. All that matters is that she has someone who can take full advantage of the buffs that she gives. Tanks and other supports also benefit from Bronya's ability to force the turns of allies, which means she'll be useful regardless of who the other members of the team are.

Bronya works best with hypercarries who have enough CRIT Rate to make full use of her ultimate ability's suite of buffs. The three best characters to pair with her are:

  • Yanqing: Out of all the ST DPS characters in the game so far, Yanqing is arguably the best one to use with Bronya. He can give himself enough CRIT Rate to make sure Bronya's buffs don't go to waste while also supplementing them with CRIT DMG boosts from his own kit. The two make for a great combo in Memory of Chaos, where enemies are extremely tanky.
  • Seele: Bronya can help Seele snowball out of control when facing enemy waves. Combat Redeployment synergizes nicely with Resurgence as both do practically the same thing, which is to give Seele more opportunities to attack. With enough DMG buffs, Seele can clear an entire wave of enemies in a single turn, and with Bronya's ultimate active, she can deal crazy amounts of damage with a single hit of Butterfly Flurry.
  • Dan Heng: There's one very specific synergy between Dan Heng and Bronya, and that regards the former's ability to Slow enemies on-crit. Bronya's CRIT DMG buff allows Dan Heng to stack more CRIT Rate for the sake of Slow application. With enough SPD, Dan Heng can essentially function the same as Seele but without the need to defeat enemies. They work best with Welt as a secondary support/debuffer for longer attack chains, but be careful not to overspend Skill Points.

In general play, the third and fourth slots are reserved for tanks (March 7th, Fire Trailblazer, Gepard) and healers (Natasha, Bailu). Any of these characters will fit well in a Bronya team comp. However, players who want to deal as much damage as possible may want to swap one of these slots for another support unit like Tingyun. Such a strategy is very effective for farming Echoes of War bosses and Simulated Universe Worlds.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
