Best Light Cone

Back to All Characters

Seele is the first limited character to become playable in Honkai: Star Rail. Introduced as a 5-star Quantum element from the Hunt path, she excels at dealing high damage to single targets and is currently considered the best in this role. Additionally, Seele has the ability to swiftly dispatch sets of weaker enemies due to her follow-up action, which grants her an extra attack upon defeating an enemy. Players who obtained her before the end of her banner will have a significant advantage not only in boss battles but also in material farming and other content that involves multiple enemies in a round.

The key to unlocking Seele's full potential in Honkai: Star Rail lies in understanding her kit and building her properly. Choosing the right light cone, along with relics, plays a significant role in maximizing her damage output. Fortunately, players have access to excellent 4-star and 5-star options, some of which are completely free-to-play. In general, Seele benefits from the same light cones as Sushang, another Hunt character with similar aspects in her kit. This allows players to freely swap light cones between these two characters depending on the enemy's weaknesses and save resources in the process.

5 Swordplay

Honkai_ Star Rail – Seele and Swordplay
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 476
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 330
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 952
  • Effect : For each time the wearer hits the same target, DMG dealt increases by 8%/10%12%/14%/16% , stacking up to 5 time(s). The stack effect will be reset when the wearer changes targets.

Some argue that Swordplay is not an optimal choice for Seele, as many battles involve multiple enemies and she benefits from attacking different targets to swiftly eliminate them and move on. While this is true, Seele still gains value from Swordplay by focusing on a significant target and allowing her allies to handle additional enemies or defeating a few weaker foes before shifting her attention to the main boss. Without any superimposition, she can still achieve a 40% increase in damage within a few turns, making Swordplay a viable option for prolonged and challenging fights, particularly in end boss battles in the Simulated Universe.

4 Only Silence Remains

Honkai_ Star Rail – Seele and Only Silence Remains
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 476
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 330
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 952
  • Effect : Increases ATK of its wearer by 16%/20%/24%/28%/32% . If there are 2 or fewer enemies on the field, increases wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12%/15%/18%/21%/24% .

Only Silence Remains is considered one of the top 4-star light cone options for Seele, especially in battles with one or two enemies, such as most boss battles. Even if there are more enemies present, it is not a concern for Seele, as she can swiftly eliminate weaker foes and then shift her focus to the main enemy, often within the same turn. Therefore, in addition to the unconditional ATK buff, Seele frequently benefits from the CRIT Rate buff, particularly in challenging content.

3 Cruising in the Stellar Sea

Honkai_ Star Rail – Seele and Cruising in the Stellar Sea
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 582
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 463
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 1058
  • Effect : Increases the wearer’s CRIT rate by 8%/10%/12%/14%/16% , and increases their CRIT rate against enemies with HP less than or equal to 50% by an additional 8%/10%/12%/14%/16% . When the wearer defeats an enemy, increase their ATK by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% for 3 turn(s).

Players who have accumulated enough Herta Bonds from the Simulated Universe can acquire the Cruising in the Stellar 5-star light cone. Fortunately, this completely free-to-play option is highly suitable for the Hunt path, especially when compared to the other choices in the Herta Store. When fully superimposed, Seele experiences a substantial increase in her CRIT Rate, enhancing the consistency of her high damage output when players prioritize building her with high Crit DMG. Additionally, this light cone synergizes exceptionally well with Seele's playstyle. Since she can easily dispatch weaker enemies, she frequently benefits from the ATK buff it provides, making it an ideal choice for battles where bosses summon additional foes. With proper optimization, a well-built Seele has the potential to eliminate an add in a single blow, trigger her follow-up attack buff, and unleash significantly increased damage upon the primary enemy.

2 Sleep Like the Dead

Honkai_ Star Rail – Seele and Sleep Like the Dead
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 582
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 463
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 1058
  • Effect : Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 32%/40%/48%/56%/64% . When the wearer’s Basic ATK or Skill does not result in a CRIT Hit, increases their CRIT Rate by 40%/45%/50%/55%/60% for 1 turn(s). This effect can only be triggered 1 time every 3 turn(s).

Players who have prioritized Seele's relics to enhance her Crit Rate and have been fortunate enough to obtain high amounts of Crit Rate in sub-stats will greatly benefit from Sleep Like the Dead. This light cone offers a substantial and unconditional increase in Crit DMG for the wearer. Even if players have not been as fortunate in acquiring high Crit Rate, the second effect of this light cone can assist Seele in landing more critical hits if she initially fails to do so. While this effect does not contribute to the increase in damage with her Ultimate ability, it increases the potency of her follow-up attacks, which she can frequently unleash back-to-back within the same turn.

1 In The Night

Honkai_ Star Rail – Seele and In The Night
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 582
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 463
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 1058
  • Effect : Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 18%/21%/24%/27%/30% . While the wearer is in battle, for every 10 SPD that exceeds 100, increase the wearer’s Basic ATK and Skill DMG by 6%/7%/8%/9%/10% , and increase the CRIT DMG of their Ultimate by 8%/10%/12%/14%/16% . This effect can stack up to 6 time(s).

Being Seele's signature light cone, In The Night is the optimal choice for her. It perfectly complements her kit, considering that Seele currently possesses the highest base speed value in Honkai: Star Rail. This grants her increased damage output with any type of attack she performs. The effectiveness of this light cone can be further enhanced by support characters such as Asta or Tingyun with her first Eidolon, enabling Seele to consistently deal significantly higher damage in any content, regardless of the number or strength of the enemies. Therefore, ensuring that her relics prioritize Speed stats or utilizing such characters will not only allow her to unleash more attacks within the same turn but also maximize her damage potential, creating a win-win situation in every scenario.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
