As the latest game set in that familiar far, far away galaxy, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor contains an expansive semi-open world with seven planets to explore, including iconic Star Wars locales like Jedha and Coruscant. With a much larger scope than the preceding game, series protagonist Cal Kestis will require faster methods of travel between Meditation Points in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. This guide will show players how to unlock fast travel in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to speed up their exploration of the seven new worlds and remain ahead of the Empire’s attempts to rid the galaxy of the Jedi Order.

How to Unlock Fast Travel in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Given the somewhat linear aspect of the game’s opening chapter, the ability to Fast Travel won’t unlock until a few hours into Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Before players can warp between Mediation Points, they must have progressed far enough through the main quest, escaping the clutches of the Empire on Coruscant and making a crash landing on Koboh.

On the forested planet, players can come across the first Meditation Point after taking an elevator down from the Gorge Crash Site. From here, continue to traverse the planet’s rocky terrain until reaching the Derelict Dam, where, after dropping down some ledges and dealing with a few enemies, players can find a second Meditation Point.

Working much like the iconic Bonfires from the Dark Souls series – from which much of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes inspiration – Mediation Points allow players to upgrade their skills, save their game, change their lightsaber stances, train their abilities, rest and recover health, and Fast Travel.

Once fast travel has been unlocked, Cal can teleport between any two Meditation Points on a single planet, excluding the one aboard the Mantis. To do so, simply visit a Meditation Point and select the “Fast Travel” option from the menu. This will open a map where players can select any of the Meditation Points that they have previously discovered to quickly teleport to them there, making exploration and collectible hunting a much easier feat.

It’s worth noting that fast travel between planets is impossible by meditating. Players must first progress far enough through the main quest, repairing the Mantis on Koboh, before Kal can warp between planets and fast travel there.

Equipped with this knowledge, players can venture forth without fear, knowing that any missed items can be easily recovered without heaps of backtracking and traversal.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is currently available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
