With the fight against the Empire still ongoing in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Cal Kestis is going to need all the help he can get. While he gets access to new Force powers and more tricks with BD-1, lightsaber combat is still a core foundational skill, and this Jedi Knight is also not shy about adding a new tool to the arsenal.

Rather than eschew blasters altogether, Cal has a new lightsaber stance that combines the utility of a firearm together with the power of a lightsaber. This particular stance has its pros and cons, but in the right hands, it can make mincemeat out of the opponents foolish enough to stand in his way. This guide to all the Blaster Lightsaber Stance skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will stand players in good stead throughout the game.

As the combination looks on the surface, this is an unorthodox way of fighting in the Star Wars universe. While Jedi are more accustomed to close-range superiority, the addition of a powerful blaster enables Cal to have his cake and eat it too. The added range and speed will allow the Jedi Knight to deal with threats both near and far, while a good Charge Shot is always a viable attack to start things off against the mighty Empire.

Progression through the game and winning in combat, among other activities, will provide players with skill points to spend, and for this particular skill tree, here are the ways Cal can develop:

  • Flying Lunge (1 skill point) - Hold Square/X to close the distance to an enemy with a leaping thrust.
  • Blaster Cooldown (1 skill point) - Gain additional ammunition each time when striking an enemy with the lightsaber.
  • Improved Clip (1 skill point) - Increase maximum blaster ammunition by three.
  • Energizing Flurry (3 skill points) - Hold L1/LB and press Square/X to perform a sequence of quick swings that rapidly replenish ammunition if they connect.
  • Efficient Heat Transfer (2 skill points) - Reduces the time required to fully charge a blaster shot.
  • Point Blank (1 skill point) - Press Triangle/Y just before an enemy hits to blast them away.
  • Quick Draw (3 skill points) - Hold L1/LB and Triangle/Y to focus and target multiple enemies at once with the blaster.

With additional ammo and the ability to both fight at range or up close, the Blaster lightsaber stance has plenty going for it, especially when facing crowds of enemies that are susceptible to the firearm. It is time to show the Empire why Cal Kestis is not to be messed with all the way to the end.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch on April 28 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
