In the incredibly large game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, players can upgrade Jedi Knight Cal Kestis with a wide variety of different perks and skills. To acquire these skills, players will need to get skill points, which is done by defeating enemies, finding Force Essences, and even just scanning the environment with BD-1.

One of the three main types of skills that players will improve is survival. Survival skills uphold Cal Kestis' health, and the ability to heal with BD-1, making it easier to survive the harsh planets within Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

6 Teamwork

Teamwork is a survival resilience skill that players can unlock later after already throwing a good amount of points into the resilience skill tree. When acquired, which will only cost players 1 skill point, Teamwork will allow BD-1 to restore Cal's health much quicker with the health stims.

In many situations where enemies are constantly on the offensive, Teamwork can help Cal out by restoring his health much faster than before. This can also help Cal restore health rapidly before getting hit by an enemy attack, which would disrupt Cal's healing.

5 Survival Skills

While collecting specific Force Essences are a great way for players to boost Jedi Knight Cal Kestis' health, obtaining the Survival Skills skill is much more beneficial. Survival Skills is the very first skill in the resilience skill tree, which has changed much from the previous game, that players can purchase for 1 skill point. As stated, Survival Skills will raise Cal's maximum health by a great portion.

Not only can players raise their health with this skill, but there are two more levels of Survival Skills that Cal can utilize. After Survival Skills, players can obtain Improved Survival Skills for 2 skill points, which will raise Cal's maximum health once again. Then, players can finally acquire Expert Survival Skills, which will raise Cal's health even more. Expert Survival Skills will cost gamers 2 skill points. Still, it is important to remember that players must purchase Survival Skills before attempting to branch out in the survival skill tree.

4 Improved Stim Formula

Using health stims in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a very important gameplay mechanic that players will need to keep account of. That is because enemies deal fairly decent damage against Cal Kestis, especially larger fauna. Using a health stim canister with BD-1 will restore players' health by a small percentage, but acquiring the Improved Stim Formula skill will allow for BD-1's health stims to restore a larger percentage of health.

This can come in handy when paired with health-raising Force Essences or Survival Skills, as Cal's maximum health will be a much larger pool. After gaining access to the Improved Stim Formula for 1 skill point, players will be able to purchase the Perfected Stim Formula skill for 2 skill points. The Perfected Stim Formula will just about restore all of Cal's health.

3 Focused Sight

Dodging and parrying in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is very important for players to keep in mind when going up against the game's many enemies, even for pros. Many enemy attacks deal a lot of damage to Cal, and some can even take out Cal Kestis in 1–2 hits. To improve Cal's dodging ability, players will want to purchase the Focused Sight skill as soon as possible.

Focused Sight will allow Cal Kestis to essentially gain access to a temporary Ultra Instinct. When purchased for 2 skill points, Focused Sight will grant players the ability to hold the dodge button and automatically avoid melee attacks. While it is an amazing skill to make use of, players will want to watch their Force Meter, as Focused Sight will drain it.

2 The Power Of Friendship

The Power of Friendship skill is one of the very last survival skills that players will acquire for Cal. This skill, which will cost players 2 skill points, will make it so that using one of BD-1's health stim canisters will also restore a little bit of Cal's Force Meter. Initially, building up Force Meter would require players to block attacks, parry, or simply attack enemies.

This gives Cal Kestis a way to obtain Force Meter passively in a much better (and faster) way other than waiting for it to slowly build up. With The Power of Friendship placed into Cal's collection of various skills, players will be able to perform Force attacks much more frequently, from holding enemies with the Force, to performing insane Lightsaber attacks with different stances.

1 Greater Reflexes

the greater reflexes skill

The majority of survival skills that players can find on the resilience skill tree are passive abilities that grant some sort of boost to Cal Kestis. Greater Reflexes is no different from that fact, as obtaining Greater Reflexes will allow Cal to passively restore his Block Meter much quicker. Block Meter is important in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, much more so than Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Just an onslaught of several blaster shots can easily take out Cal's Block Meter and force the player to tank enemy attacks. But, with Greater Reflexes acquired, players will be able to run through blaster shots, block against various melee attacks, and overall be able to take on large quantities of enemies much more easily.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
