Set five years after the events of the previous title, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor follows Cal Kestis on a brand-new adventure across the galaxy. Like with his previous journey, he is still being pursued by the Empire and its goons, but while fleeing from them, he will have several chances to find and complete side quests.
The side quests in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are known as Rumors, and they can be found quite frequently while exploring the galaxy. Some, however, can only be pursued after reaching a certain point in the game’s main story. The Investigate Dredger Gorge’s Rusted Elevator Rumor is no exception, and completing it is no easy feat.
How To Start The Investigate Dredger Gorge’s Rusted Elevator Rumor In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Players can begin their search for the Dredger Gorge’s Rusted Elevator upon visiting Koboh for the third time after saving Zee from the Lucrehulk. Cal will learn Force Slam during this part of the story, an ability needed to reach the area in which this Rumor is located.
The quest-giver can be found sitting on a container beneath the Landing Pad next to Pyloon’s Saloon, and once Cal interacts with her, he will be free to begin the quest. Though this Prospector will point Cal in the right direction, it’s possible to complete this Rumor without ever interacting with her if players stumble across the location naturally.
How To Find The Dredger Gorge’s Rusted Elevator In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Once players are ready to check out the Rusted Elevator, they should fast-travel to the Southern Reach Meditation point and run across the nearby wall until they are faced with the Trontoshell.
Turning in the direction the large beast is facing, Cal will then need to use Force Slam and the large cylindrical device to create a path forward.
Using this device to jump into the next area, Cal will get attacked by a group of droids and a Raider. Once they have all been dealt with, hugging the cliff side on the right and continuing into the far end of this area will lead Cal to an Orb Coupler.
If players wish, they can find a Priorite Shard on the ledge directly above the Orb Coupler by jumping on the climbable wall to the right.
Cal must use Force Pull on the Orb to throw it onto the yellow platform behind him. Then, he can leap on top of this yellow structure, use Force Pull on the Orb once more, and place it in the other Orb Coupler to Cal's right. This will cause the Orb Coupler to emit a purple beam that will burn through the Koboh Barrier blocking the way inside the mountain.
How To Complete The Investigate The Dredger Gorge’s Rusted Elevator Rumor In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Proceeding through the mountain's new opening, Cal will find a Hack Panel that, when interacted with, will spawn a Roller Mine.
Leaving through the door he just came in, Cal must use Force Pull to bring the Roller Mine outside. It can then be lured to the right-hand side of the entrance, where it can be thrown at the destructible wall to create a second entrance.
Once the wall has been removed, Cal can proceed inside and use BD-1’s Koboh Grinder ability to remove the Koboh Matter on the grate hanging over the Hack Panel. Then, he can run across the two walls and leap to the grate to climb up to the next level.
Players can then proceed through the door leading outside to find a Force Essence that, when interacted with, will reward Cal with a New Perk Slot. Once it has been collected, a prompt will appear, marking the completion of the Investigate Dredger Gorge’s Rusted Elevator Rumor.
