When players are putting together a lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they might notice a popular staple in the franchise missing from their kit. Sure, different handles, shapes, types, and other cosmetics are all up for detailing. But Cal Kestis doesn't appear to ever find a red lightsaber crystal.
This is intentional, of course. Those who are fans of the franchise and of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in particular know that Cal isn't exactly a Sith-in-the-making. The red crystal, for this reason, doesn't seem to go with his vibe. But there is still a way to get one if players have the patience.
How To Get The Red Lightsaber Crystal
- Beat the campaign.
- Select New Game+ or New Journey Plus+.
- Head to a workbench and install the red crystal.
This is, unfortunately, the only way to get a red lightsaber at the moment. If the steps look similar to the ones on how to get the party crystal (a crystal that changes colors with every swing), that's not a coincidence; the process of unlocking both is identical. Getting through the campaign is entertaining enough, so maybe the red lightsaber crystal is just enough incentive to get gamers who are stuck and unsure of how to continue some inspiration.
Some of the best lightsaber skills look even more powerful and sinister with a red crystal installed. Cal, of course, does not change alignment on the light-dark force scale because of such a cosmetic change. But Players that want Cal to fight like a Sith and roleplay like a Jedi are in luck.
There are plenty of other unlockables to get that do not require beating the game. Getting the Commander outfit makes Cal look like he's ready for some heavy combat and that matches up nicely with just about every lightsaber color.
