Just like gamers can customize Jedi Knight Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they can also customize Cal's partner, BD-1. BD-1's color scheme used to be the only part of the small droid that players could change, but now players are able to change BD-1's individual parts and materials at a workshop.
Since BD-1 parts are labeled as collectibles, players can find various parts for Cal's droid throughout the different open-world maps of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Some parts can be purchased, while others require a lot of parkour and digging to uncover. Gamers will also be able to utilize their Datadisks found throughout Koboh with Zee, who will sell BD-1 parts to Cal. Players will want Cal to look his best when taking on the Empire, but they should make sure not to leave BD-1 out and polish him up a little as well.
7 BD-Astro
Players who purchase the Deluxe Edition of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will have access to many different cosmetic options for Cal, Cal's equipment, and even BD-1. One of the BD-1 sets that players receive upon purchasing the Deluxe Edition is the BD-Astro set.
The BD-Astro set is full of parts and materials that are meant to give BD-1 a look influenced by fan-favorite R2D2. There's a BD-Astro part for each of BD-1's cosmetic options, and the Deluxe materials help complete the R2D2 cosplay.
6 Rugged
Not only will players be able to workshop BD-1 to appear as R2D2 after purchasing the Deluxe Edition of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but they will also have received the Rugged set for BD-1. The Rugged parts set for BD-1 don't seem to resemble any famous Star Wars droids, but it makes the puppy-like robot stand out as a droid fit for someone as daring as Han Solo.
Notably, the materials utilized with the Rugged parts with the Deluxe Edition appear to resemble color patterns from the planet Kashyyyk. The Rugged parts for BD-1 are also more notably some of the more unique-looking parts that BD-1 can sport. With other certain materials gathered throughout Cal's journey, players can also customize BD-1 to showcase popular bounty hunter colors like Boba Fett, which look great with the Rugged set.
5 Solar
The Solar set for BD-1 is unlocked all at once in a legendary chest that players can locate on Jedha within The Archives. The Solar set is one of the more peculiar looks for BD-1. It even appears to give BD-1 his very own visor.
Customizing the Solar skin for BD-1 with other materials can lead to some amazing combinations. Luckily, players won't need to search for each individual part of the Solar set, rather once opening the chest, all parts will automatically be obtained.
4 Industrial
Not only is the Solar skin set for BD-1 able to be unlocked all at once in a legendary chest on Jedha, but the Industrial set for BD-1 can also be unlocked on Jedha. The Industrial set is a great way for players to give BD-1 more of a 'worker' droid look. The Industrial parts on BD-1 appear more heavyset than others.
To unlock the Industrial set, players will need the balloon grapple upgrade and locate the chest on Jedha. More specifically, the chest is near the Anchorite Base.
3 BD-1
Sometimes the best look is the classic look, and BD-1's original set is already more than amazing as it is. BD-1's original parts are some of the only things in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that hasn't changed their appearance from the last game. Cal has a new look. Greez has a new look.
Almost everything in the new Star Wars game has a new appearance, but BD-1 still initially has that classic droid appearance that is nostalgic. Of course, players will already have this set unlocked.
2 Geonosian
Though a lot of BD-1's sets can be acquired with each part instantly unlocked, some sets will need players to obtain each part individually. Geonosian is one such set that players will need to hunt for each part. The Geonosian skin for BD-1 supposedly lets BD-1 cosplay as a droid originating from Geonosis.
To unlock these parts, players will have to search around the planet Koboh. To complete this set, players will need the air dash upgrade, which they will use at the Bygone Settlement for the Geonosian BD-1 legs.
1 Kaminoan
Just like the Geonosian BD-1 skin set in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, players will need to search and collect each part of the Kaminoan BD-1 set in order for them to officially complete the skin. This skin will allow BD-1 to appear as a droid that originated from the famous planet Kamino.
The Kaminoan skin for BD-1 will require players to scavenge around the planet Jedha for each part. Luckily, players won't need any movement upgrades to find these parts, so they can be acquired fairly early in the game. After finding the Kaminoan BD-1 parts on Jedha, players will be able to use their Datadisks and purchase the Kaminoan BD-1 head and Kaminoan BD-1 body from Zee at Pyloon's Saloon. This will allow players to turn BD-1 into a complete Kamino droid.
