As players prepare to enter the world of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the question of how different it will be to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is on the minds of many. One item in particular, which was featured very heavily in Fallen Order, has been noticeably absent from everything shown of Survivor: Cal's beloved poncho. One of the primary collectibles in the previous game, many of the images of Cal that have been released appear to show him as an older, more mature force user, perhaps shedding his protective cover. The question still remains, however, does the poncho return in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on 04/28/23, and is a direct sequel to 2019's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It appears that Respawn has taken their highly successful mix of action-adventure, light RPG, and Soulslike mechanics and built upon them, keeping the essence of what made Fallen Order so popular. Players still have time to pre-order Star Wars Jedi: Survivor before setting off to a galaxy far, far away.
Can I Get The Poncho In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?
Luckily, anyone hoping to display their love for Fallen Order's fashion will be happy to know the poncho does make a triumphant return in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. However, Cal will not be wearing it when Survivor begins. This time around, Cal must earn his trip down memory lane.
How to Get the Poncho In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Like Fallen Order, Survivor features several worlds for Cal to explore, all with their own unique challenges and rewards. Often, however, Cal will lack the required tools or upgrades necessary to progress past certain points. This 'metroidvania' approach makes a full return in Survivor.
This is important, because Cal must have some very specific abilities unlocked before he can make it to the required location to retrieve the poncho.
Reach Fort Kah'Lin:
The poncho is located inside of Fort Kah'Lin, on the planet Koboh. However, before Cal can reach the fort, he must unlock a mount that can traverse mud slides. Once he has that ability, head to the section in Riverbed Watch marked on the map.
Get up the mudslide and into the cave to complete the first step of this task.
Defeat the Droids and Son of Oggdo:
While in the fort complex, look for a circular gate in the ground surrounded by droids. First, Cal must take out every single droid. Once that is complete, the gate will open up to reveal the Son of Oggdo, a massive frog-like alien beast that appears to be the offspring of a certain hopping boss in Fallen Order.
Defeating Son of Oggdo will grant Cal his previous poncho. He is now free to run around the galaxy, looking very cool as he takes out Stormtroopers and frog-beasts alike.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available 04/28/23 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
