Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is chock-full of optional enemies known as the Legendary Bosses. These enemies can be encountered naturally by simply exploring each corner of the galaxy, but some can be found through side quests. The Defeat the Golden Skriton Rumor can be started by speaking with Sister Taske on Jedha, but only after reaching a certain point in the main story.

Toward the end of Cal's first visit to Jedha, players can choose between returning to Koboh or traveling to the Shattered Moon. So long as one of these planets is visited, and the story sequence there has been completed, the Golden Skriton will appear on Jedha.

Cal speaks to Sister Taske in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

To begin the search for the Golden Skriton, Cal can return to the Archive on Jedha and speak to Sister Taske at her shop. Sister Taske will then explain how ferocious the Golden Skriton is when compared to its lesser brethren before pointing Cal in its direction.

After speaking with Sister Taske, Cal should enter the elevator to the left and travel up to the higher level of the Anchorite Base. Then, he must proceed through the door directly across from where he leaves the elevator and turn right to reach the Arid Flats.

Walking under the wings of the Clone Trooper carrier ship and turning left, Cal can hug the wall on the left and proceed forward until he reaches the wide-open area known as the Desert Ridge. Continuing forward to the far right-hand corner of this region, he will come face to face with a short tunnel leading to the right. Inside, in the less shadowy area, the Golden Skriton will attack.

Cal faces the Golden Skriton in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Like with regular Skritons, Cal will not be able to deal damage when the Golden Skriton is shielding itself with its large claw. Because of this, players will need to focus on attacking the creature from the left or from behind, as it will block any other attacks made near its claw. Leaping over the creature is a good way to reach the creature's blindside, but seeing as it tends to turn in Cal's direction whenever he moves, Cal won't have that much to attack.

The best way to approach felling this intimidating foe is to take advantage of its blockable attacks, as parrying them will leave the beast open for a few moments.

The Golden Skriton's Moveset:

Like most bosses, the Golden Skriton can perform an array of blockable and unblockable attacks. Parrying blockable attacks is a great way to stagger the enemy, while precision dodging unblockable attacks can permit Cal to deal a hit or two.

  • When the Golden Skriton begins to glow red and starts reaching its claw forward, Cal should dodge out of the way; if he gets grabbed, the Golden Skriton will stab Cal with its tail twice, dealing some pretty hefty damage.
  • Another unblockable attack sees the Golden Skriton glowing red and slamming its claw into the ground. Dodging away from this attack is an effective way to avoid it, but if players are fast enough, they can leap behind the creature to attack its back while the animation is playing out.
  • Most of the Golden Skriton's attacks are easy to predict, but some, like its swipe attack, aren't as obvious. This attack is especially quick; to parry it, players must block the moment the creature moves its claw to the left.
  • The Golden Skriton will also attack using its tail from time to time. When it begins waving its tail overhead, players should guard immediately. Attacking after this move can be a little risky, however, as the beast will sometimes perform a second tail attack when it regains its composure. If this happens, players should block again to leave it open.
Cal finds the Unflinching Perk in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Once players have gotten used to how the Golden Skriton fights, they will be able to take it down with relative ease. When it has been defeated, Cal can enter the cave it emerged from and interact with the Force Essence on the ground to obtain the Unflinching Perk.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
