There are thirteen Legendary Bosses available for Cal to fight in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but not all of them are as easy to beat as others. The Mire Terror is one such enemy, both because of how it fights and also due to the backup it has during the battle.

Cal speaks to Mosey in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

After delivering the Contact Codes to Cere on Jedha, Cal will visit Koboh for a third time. During this visit, a prompt will appear detailing how new conversations have become available in Pyloon's Saloon, granting Cal access to new Rumors. To begin the Defeat the Mire Terror Rumor, the Jedi Knight must enter Pyloon's Saloon and speak with Mosey.

Mosey will point Cal in the direction of several Legendary Bosses, the Mire Terror being one of them. If she doesn't offer the Mire Terror Rumor during the first conversation, players may have to fast-travel to a different Meditation Point and then fast-travel back to Pyloon's Saloon in order to refresh the quests she offers. Eventually, she will tell Cal where to find the Mire Terror.

Cal faces a Relter in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

If players have yet to visit the Viscid Bog, they will do while progressing the story during Cal's third visit to Koboh. To reach this location on foot, players should fast-travel to the Devastated Settlement Meditation Point, climb the rock pillar on the left, and use the Relter just behind the waterfall to glide to the area with the green laser barrier. Behind this barrier, another Relter can be used to fly to the Viscid Bog itself.

Cal will need to unlock the Force Slam and Force Lift abilities before he can reach the Mire Terror's den. These abilities are naturally acquired while progressing the story in this region, and once they have been obtained, Cal will be able to reach the Viscid Bog Meditation Point.

Cal faces a zipline in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

From the Viscid Bog Meditation Point, Cal must use the nearby zipline to travel further into the bog itself. At the end of the line, he will fall into the mud below and must walk forward until he can grapple to the pole ahead of him. Swinging forward from this pole, Cal will need to walk through some more mud until he can grapple to the grate in front of him, where he can climb up onto solid ground.

Turning right, Cal must jump across the stone platforms in front of him in order to reach the Mire Terror's lair. These platforms must each be raised using the Force Lift ability for Cal to get to the other side.

After jumping from the third platform, Cal can interact with the Force Echo to acquire the Abominable Bogling Data Entry. Proceeding forward, Cal can then jump down to the area below to find the Mire Terror and its Mogu friend.

How To Beat The Mire Terror In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Cal fights the Mire Terror in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

What makes the battle against the Mire Terror so difficult is that it fights alongside a Mogu. Normally, Mogus are relatively easy to take down, but players might struggle to defeat this one, seeing as it has the Mire Terror fighting by its side. Thankfully, there is a way to make this team-up work in Cal's favor.

Upon dropping into the area with the Mire Terror, Cal should approach the roaming Mogu and use a Mind Trick on it. This will cause the Mogu to mistake the Mire Terror for its enemy, prompting it to attack. The Mind Trick ability will wear off after a few moments have passed, so players will need to use it again whenever the Mogu turns and faces Cal.

The Mire Terror's Moveset:

Eventually, while relying on this method, the Mogu will fall due to the damage it takes from the Mire Terror, allowing Cal to focus solely on defeating the Legendary Boss itself. Unlike other Mogus, the Mire Terror has a few dangerous tricks up its sleeves that players should take note of.

  • One of the Mire Terror's most dangerous attacks sees it glowing red and attempting to grab Cal. If players fail to avoid getting grabbed and are unable to complete the quick-time event that follows, Cal will be forced to take some pretty heavy damage. Precision evading this attack is a great way to briefly stagger the Mire Terror, but dodging away from it is usually safer.
  • Whenever the Mire Terror glows red and begins charging at Cal, players should prepare to precision evade, as getting hit with this move will result in Cal getting grabbed and smashed into the ground.
  • The Mire Terror, unlike other Mogus, has a habit of throwing debris at Cal when he is far away. To counter this move, Force Pull can be used on the incoming debris to grab it, allowing Cal to throw it back at the Mire Terror.
  • The Mire Terror's ground pound attack can be blocked, but Cal will need to leap over the shockwave that appears after if he hopes to avoid taking damage. This move will knock Cal to the ground if he is hit, leaving him vulnerable for a few moments.
  • One of the Mire Terror's most unpredictable attacks sees it reaching its claws into the ground and attempting to spray Cal with mud. It is by far one of the creature's quickest attacks, but it can easily be parried if players block just as the animation begins.
  • Players should also ensure to take advantage of the Mire Terror's slash attacks. If uninterrupted, the Mire Terror will chase Cal around the arena while slashing at him. Dodging these slashes can be extremely difficult, but parrying one of them will stop the combo and briefly stagger the Mire Terror.
