The fixation to fight the Empire and try to bring some peace to the galaxy is a noble one, but in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Cal Kestis, the Jedi Knight, can also spend some downtime doing other things. This can include solving certain rumors, growing some plants to fill a rooftop garden, or engaging in hunts to bring down the pestering Haxion Brood.

However, for those that are looking for more strategic affairs, then the minigame that is Holotactics might just be the right side activity to dive deep into. That is if players are able to unlock and access the minigame in the first place. This will require some exploration, and this guide on how to unlock Holotactics in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will list down the vital steps to making that happen.

How To Unlock Holotactics in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Boiling Bluff

The key to unlocking Holotactics in the game is similar to many of the other stuff players can get up to, which is to find the right allies to join Pyloon's Saloon. In this particular case, it involves successfully completing the Locate the Odd Pair rumor.

Once the Forest Array has been visited, players can head back to the cantina and speak to Moran, the blue-skinned individual who will then ask Cal to investigate the rumor. Based on the marker that shows up on the Holo-map, this will send players in the direction of Boiling Bluff. If the area was not visited yet, simply go through the Untamed Downs area, preferably on a Nekko, and reach the specific region.

Be sure to activate the Boiling Bluff Meditation Point just to be safe upon arrival. Now, look to the left to find some ledges that are too high for the double jump to reach, which is where the Nekko comes into play. Jump with the creature and then do it once again to use the extra height to reach the ledge above. Defeat the nearby enemies before turning the attention to the next platform across the chasm, which a Mogu is currently residing in.

Take down the beast while watching for its powerful grabs, and once the coast is clear, players can then climb the nearby platform to find the Odd Pair, who are Tulli Mu and Bhima Ook. Once they are recruited, head back to Pyloon's Saloon and go to the second floor, where the Holotactics station has been set up for Cal to try his luck.

Beating all of the opponents in the minigame is key to getting the Gambler trophy or achievement for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. It is recommended for players to come back once they have progressed deeper into the game, as the more enemies scanned by BD-1, the more choices to pick from when playing the game.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
