What is Fury Mode in Dead Island 2

Dead Island 2

Fury Mode is when players enter a berserker-type mind state, drop all weapons, and get a boost in overall strength. Even limited to using fists, cutting down zombies is significantly easier in Fury Mode. Players will only be able to enter Fury Mode for a short amount of time and must charge it up to use it.

To enter Fury Mode, players must click both analog sticks simultaneously on a console or click G on PC when the Fury Meter is full. The screen will change when players are in Fury Mode and return to normal after it ends.

Before using Fury Mode in Dead Island 2, players must start the Red Mist quest. During the quest, players find themselves in a zombie pit when Fury Mode activates for the first time. After that, they must charge Fury and use their Fury Meter to gauge when they can enter the violent Dead Island 2 mode.

How to Charge Fury in Dead Island 2

Dead Island 2

Fighting and killing zombies is the most straightforward way to charge Fury in Dead Island 2. Specifically, performing good counters is the easiest way to fill up the Fury Meter at first. Eventually, as players level up, they will unlock Skill Cards that give them more specific ways to build Fury. For example, one Skill Card builds Fury as players take damage. Alternatively, players can equip one that increases Fury when they Maim Zombies, but they will lose Fury when they take damage.

Players can also get Fury from consumable items such as Energy Drinks. Energy Drinks are found around LA or dropped by Zombies whenever they are killed.

Dead Island 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
