The available upgrades players can buy in Dead Island 2 include stat mods, level-ups, and abilities.

There are several ways to farm money in Dead Island 2, but players will pick it up naturally as they play through the story. How to Get Money Fast in Dead Island 2

Explore Hell-A

Dead Island 2

The easiest way to get money fast in Dead Island 2 is to look through everything as thoroughly as possible while traversing the streets of LA. While the game isn't entirely open-world, each explorable area is large.

Many of the Los Angeles houses and stores are abandoned, and players can search rooms, chests, and other areas that typically contain cash. Some may be locked and require a key to access them. Safes, in particular, usually have money inside them but are almost always locked.

The Zombies players interact with in Dead Island 2 are another way to get cash. After killing one, a Zombie may drop a few dollars along with a Protein Bar or Energy Drink. Since all the zombies and the items respawn after a certain amount of time, there is almost an endless supply of cash for players to farm around Hell-A.

Sell Unused Items and Weapons

Players can sell weapons and crafting supplies for money in Dead Island 2 when they encounter a Trader. Weapons sell for thousands of dollars, especially the Rare and Superior ones. Traders will also buy the various supplies found, such as Fabric and Wire, but they aren't worth as much.

As players increase their skill level, they unlock more powerful and, therefore, more valuable weapons. Since they constantly find melee and ranged weapons while exploring or fighting Zombies, selling some is a small loss. Additionally, they can clear out their inventory and storage for better ones if they have low-level weapons.

Traders are only sometimes available, so taking advantage of them when possible is wise. They are found in Zombie Free zones such as Emma's House and The Blue Crab. Players can recognize a Trader when they approach them, and the label Trader appears over their heads in white.

Use a Glitch

For a quicker but more complex method, Dead Island 2 players can use a glitch to get money fast. The glitch allows players to duplicate weapons when in an online co-op session. After backing up their save file, they can drop as many weapons as they want and close the game. Then they will replace the new save file with the old one.

Whenever they start it back up, all their weapons will be restored, and the dropped ones will stay spawned. Then, players can find a Trader and sell all the duplicated weapons before picking up the original ones.

Dead Island 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
