Curtis Sinclair is one of the NPCs in Dead Island 2 that the majority of the players will meet very early on. Apparently, this guy is a 'living legend' in the Dead Island 2 universe who used to be a huge film sensation. After players save him from his lack of stairs in The Death of the Party Side Quest and loot his house completely, he'll relocate to Emma Jaunt's Mansion.

Then, after at least completing Amanda Styles's Side Quest, #Clickbate, at the Goat Pen, Curtis will have a Side Quest of his own to offer the player character. This Side Quest, called Creature Comforts, is all about Curtis trying to get some better alcohol for all the survivors in the Jaunt mansion, so he has the player's Slayer go out to look for some. Let's go over exactly how to get that request done.

Finding The Ardkillin Whiskey In Colt Swanson's Mansion

First up is Colt Swanson's Mansion, and players will recognize this place as the first home they entered after waking up in Bel-Air. Colt is long dead by this point, as it's mandatory to slay him as a Zombie to progress at the start of the game. But, it turns out there's more to this guy's mansion to discover, as he apparently has an 18-year-old bottle of Ardkillin Whiskey sitting somewhere in his house.

Players can find other whiskies and alcohol by searching around the mansion, and eventually, they'll get a clue to search upstairs. But, to save some time, just head out to Colt's backyard, turn right, head up the stairs that lead to the side of the house, and head towards the open window at the end of this path. There will be a few basic Zombies and a Crusher in the way, but that's quick work for any of the 6 Slayers this game has to offer.

After clearing out the riff-raff, head into the room very carefully. There are a couple of tripwires in this room that set off Combat Shotguns as well as trigger explosive oil canisters, so make sure and avoid these or trigger them from a distance if possible. After getting back and disabling the traps, players should open up the door leading to the upstairs hallways of the Swanson Mansion so they have a bit easier access to this room, then head to the other end of this room to find a safe with a Hell or High Water note nearby that reveals how Cindy has the key to this safe.

Head downstairs to the Display Room in the mansion (AKA the room with the display cases that trigger an alarm) to encounter Colt's Gal Cindy, an Apex Zombie Screamer who is a bit tougher than the average Screamer. Kill her, and she'll drop Cindy's Safe Key. Take this back up to the safe, grab the Ardkillin Whiskey, and the first half of the Side Quest is done.

Grabbing The Vintage Maison Sang-Vivant Wine From The Goat Pen

Next up is the Goat Pen, a house that players have already become familiar with throughout the #Clickbate Side Quest. Amanda is already gone from here, however, and is now sitting around at the Jaunt Mansion. The primary focus of the Goat Pen here is in their Wine Room, which is locked and requires the Goat Pen Master Keys to open. However, this isn't necessarily true, as players can just smash the glass walls surrounding the Wine Room to get in without a key, though this does set off the alarm, luring in nearby Zombies.

To go about this the safer way, players will need to go and get the Goat Pen Master Keys. There's already a guide for obtaining these, but to quickly sum it up; go to the outdoor pool, look over at where the Master Bedroom is, throw something to break the window, and hop across to get into the Master Bedroom. After getting in, the Master Keys will be sitting on the Bedside Table. Grab these, head back downstairs, and grab the Maison Sang-Vivant wine sitting on the far left of the middle-most wine shelf in the Wine Room.

Swiping Sinclair's Cuban Cigars Before Leaving The Goat Pen

After grabbing the Maison Sang-Vivant and clearing out any nearby Zombies (if needed), Curtis will call up on the walkie-talkie. He'll mention that players should grab a case of Cuban Cigars he gave the Goat Pen as a welcome gift before the Zompocalypse, and promises to reward the player even more so if they do this extra task. Ironically enough, this task isn't optional, and it requires getting into the Master Bedroom anyway (so there's really no point in 'breaking into' the Wine Room).

To get these, simply head back to the Master Bedroom, and a Zombie should pop out of the Walk-in Closet behind the main computer desk, opening the doors for the player to go in. And, sitting on the lower shelf in the middle of this closet is a box of Cuban Cigars, grab these and head back to Curtis Sinclair.

Returning To Curtis Sinclair & Quest Rewards

After grabbing all the booze and cigars Curtis asked for, return to him and the quest will be instantly completed. Players will get 3,000 EXP as a reward, which is pretty sizeable considering how early this Side Quest becomes available.

Not only that, but players will also receive an additional reward, the Peggy Rifle, a Superior Rarity gun that, quite frankly, is overpowered. All-in-all this is a fantastic Side Quest as all of the objectives are nearby, it doesn't require too much work, it rewards exploration, and the Peggy Rifle is one of the best weapons in Dead Island 2.

Dead Island 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X\S.
