A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail is teasing several key pieces of information about an upcoming character, detailing the element and Path for the rumored Topaz. Star Rail has seen plenty of leaks and rumors about characters coming to the RPG throughout the first month since its release. Leaks close to the game's launch would detail the character roadmap through Version 1.3, teasing highly anticipated additions like Kafka and Silver Wolf coming to the game. Now, a new leak is hinting at a character players still don't know much about.
While Honkai: Star Rail's early story has featured plenty of characters who have yet to be added to the game's roster, leaks have hinted at many more to come in the future. Characters who have been teased in-game like Screwllum and Jingliu are expected to be playable at some point in the future. A recent teaser even suggested that Honkai: Star Rail may soon get its own version of two of Honkai Impact 3rd's most integral characters, Raiden Mei and Yae Sakura. Now, Topaz is the newest speculated member to see more information surface.
An update shared to the Honkai: Star Rail leaks subreddit via prominent leakers Blednaya and Merlin Impact has revealed more information about Topaz. The leak shows off Topaz's in-game icon, featuring her wild outfit and gray hair with red highlights. Topaz will reportedly debut in Honkai: Star Rail as a new five-star character, boasting the Fire element and following the Hunt Path as a DPS character. Topaz has yet to officially appear within Star Rail and little is known about her role within the story of the game.
Topaz's potential inclusion as a new DPS character for the Fire element comes as Fire has already seen plenty of powerful support within Honkai: Star Rail. The element already multiple characters across different classes, including Himeko as an Erudition sub-DPS and the Fire Trailblazer as a Preservation tank. Topaz will likely pair well with free character Asta, with Asta both providing powerful Weakness Break for Fire and buffing her Fire allies. A release window was not given for Topaz, though she is currently not expected to debut before Version 1.3.
Topaz's rumored introduction to Honkai: Star Rail comes as the game's roster is already set to grow substantially throughout the first few post-launch updates. Version 1.1 was recently confirmed to bring three new characters to the sci-fi RPG with Silver Wolf, Luocha, and Yukong debuting. HoYoverse has already revealed three characters coming with Version 1.2 and recent leaks have begun to tease the 1.3 five-star character Imbibitor Lunae. Players looking for more characters to spend their Stellar Jades on will have plenty of options coming soon.
Honkai: Star Rail is available now for PC and mobile devices. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development.
