The Death of the Party is one of the first side quests players can do in Dead Island 2 that has some tricky key locations to find. Players must locate three sets of keys belonging to famous actor Curtis Sinclair, with Curtis' house keys being one of them.
In Dead Island 2, Curtis' mansion is locked up tight with the grounds full of zombies, so it's easy to get stuck wondering where to find Curtis' house keys with seemingly no easy way in. However, a couple of simple steps are necessary to solve the mystery and gain access to the interior of Curtis' mansion without needing to progress far in the game.
Where Are Curtis' House Keys In Dead Island 2?
Players don't need to find Curtis' garage keys in Dead Island 2 to gain access to the house, but some may prefer to do this first. After activating the Death of the Party side quest, defeat any zombies in front of Curtis' mansion and head past the garage to the external courtyard at the back of the house to find Curtis standing on the roof.
After players kill the zombies below, Curtis asks players to speak to him. Players only need to look up and press the interact button to talk to Curtis. In a Dead Island 2 twist, players don't need Curtis' house keys to get inside the house, but they are essential to get more treasures once inside. To get inside Curtis' house, where players later get Curtis' house keys, players must restore the mansion's power, and Curtis will buzz players inside.
How To Turn On The Power To Curtis' House In Dead Island 2
To restore the power to Curtis' mansion, head down the stairs to the end of the garden to find a small outbuilding. Defeat the zombie inside and use the overhanging electricity wire to restore the power at the back of the room by grabbing a water Jerry can and dousing the area with water.
Players may need to return to the garage area to find a Jerry can and can also use Dead Island 2's electrocutor weapons mod to create sparks.
How To Get Curtis' House Keys In Dead Island 2
Head round the back of Curtis' mansion to enter and find Curtis at the top of the stairs. Press the button on the wall to activate the stair lift, letting Curtis safely reach the bottom floor while players kill any approaching zombies.
Follow Curtis into the adjoining room, looting any nearby collectibles along the way to save time, and speak with Curtis again once he sits in the chair. At the end of the conversation, players get Curtis' house keys and a golf club, one of Dead Island 2's melee weapons, completing the Death of the Party side quest.
Players can now use Curtis' house keys to unlock various rooms inside the house to find more loot and collectibles. However, they may need to return later in the game to locate and access Curtis' safe key.
