The Goat Pen is one of the houses players will end up exploring pretty early on in Dead Island 2. This literal influencer house is right across the street from Curtis Sinclair's place and is pretty much the stereotypical over-the-top house one would expect a content creator house to be.
And of course, there are a variety of different items and Dead Island 2 Side Quests that take place within or near this house such as the #Clickbate Side Quest, the Creature Comforts Side Quest, and it's even a part of the My Mailman Was A Zombie Lost & Found Quest. So, let's go over how exactly players will find the Goat Pen Master Keys that will let them access every room in this place.
When Are The Goat Pen Master Keys Obtainable?
First off, how early on can players get these keys? A lot of Quests and 'Named Zombies' in Dead Island 2 won't appear until certain prerequisites have been completed such as a specific amount of story progress or one individual side quest.
Thankfully, the Goat Pen Master Keys can be obtained as soon as players arrive at the Goat Pen using two different methods, though there is also a more 'intended' method of obtaining them from the Creature Comforts Side Quest a bit further on.
Method 1: Breaking & Entering
An easy method of getting these keys (but one that's a bit difficult to figure out without looking it up) is simply by breaking into the Master Bedroom to the left of the front door.
Players will notice that the door to this room is locked and needs Master Keys to get in, which is funny because the Master Keys are found inside this room. But, eagle-eyed players will notice, while looking through the door of the bedroom, that the rightmost wall of the room is entirely made of glass.
So, if players just head out to the pool area on the same level as the front door and go to the spot that lines up with the Master Bedroom, they'll see that there's just a small gap separating them from the Bedroom. To get in, simply throw a weapon, Curveball, or fire a gun to break the glass, break the glass guardrail on the pool's side, and then jump across to the Bedroom.
After getting in, the Master Keys will be easily visible on top of the Bedside Table.
Method 2: Rooftop Entry
Funnily enough, there's actually another way to get into the Master Bedroom at the start of the game, and this one is even easier than the first method.
From the rooftop area of the Goat Pen, players will need to head to the area of the roof that should be just above the Master Bedroom. Then, while facing towards the backyard of the Goat Pen, head to the leftmost part of the roof and look down off of it.
Players should see a Balcony just below them with a Patio Heater on it. Hop down onto here and turn around to see an easily-breakable glass pane leading into the Master Bedroom.
Method 3: Goat Pen Jamie
For players who didn't naturally happen to stumble into either the first or second method of reaching the Master Bedroom or for those who didn't even realize they needed the Master Keys, there's an easier way provided to them through Curtis Sinclair's 'Creature Comforts' Side Quest (which does not give his Safe Key as a reward).
This Quest asks players to get higher-quality alcohol both from Colt Swanson's house and from the Goat Pen. To get into the Goat Pen's Wine Room, the game says that they'll need to Master Keys. Turns out they actually don't 'need' the Keys as they can just break the glass walls of the Wine Room to get in instead, but that does set off an alarm as well.
In any case, to get the keys, players should head to the bottom-most floor of the Goat Pen which is this bar/arcade/bowling alley room. In the bowling alley area of the room, players should see a zombie feasting on a cadaver in the middle of the center lane. Upon further inspection, they'll see that this is a Named Zombie, Goat Pen Jamie. Now, it's worth noting that Goat Pen Jamie will probably be at a different level for each player, and that's because of Dead Island 2's level-scaling system. Kill Goat Pen Jamie at whatever level he may be (watch out for the other mobs that spawn in while doing so), and he'll drop the Goat Pen Master Keys.
