Dead Island 2 features an assorted variety of weapons to wipe out the zombie threat that plagues Hell-A. Some of these weapons can be found lying around throughout the world, purchased from traders, dropped by enemies, or by opening locked boxes. These locked chests will require keys that could be found around the general area or on the other side of the map.
While some keys in Dead Island 2 require players to defeat a specific enemy located somewhere in the world or is tied to one quest, the Mystery Goodie Box Key cannot be found without finishing several missions. How to Get the Mystery Goodie Box Key in Dead Island 2
The Mystery Goodie Box Key can be earned after completing a series of Dead Island 2 side quests from Hana, a mysterious survivor that will regularly contact players through the radio. The series includes three quests in this order: The Rav-Ages of Caustic X, Boz Makes a Bang, and Dez and the Mother of Satan. Players will receive the Mystery Goodie Box Key after completing the third and final side quest in the chain.
Hana will give players the first mission, The Rav-Ages of Caustic X, to players after completing the Michael Anders and the Holy Grail story quest. The game will direct players to answer the giant radio placed on the table in the last area of the Monarch Studios following the Alesis Hernandez boss fight.
Where is the Mystery Goodie Box?
The Mystery Goodie Box is located on the top floor of the Lotusville Mall in the Ocean Avenue area. While the Lotusville Mall is listed separately on the map, the mall is part of the Serling Hotel. So, players should just enter through the hotel to get to the box.
The top floor is free from zombies, so players should have no issues finding the box near the giant windows at the front of the building. Opening the box will reward players with the Shark Tooth machete, a Superior melee weapon with high damage and good overall stats. The weapon comes with an Electrocutor mod to cause shock damage and a perk that amplifies the shock damage to cause explosions after repeated hits.
