While Dead Island 2 players move through the main storyline, they will unlock side quests or encounter mini-puzzles or trials to get high-level weapons and mods. A common find is lockboxes all over the map that require keys or a keycard to access.
Some lockbox keys in Dead Island 2, such as Nikki's Prize Key, can only be found after a certain point in the storyline. However, it is worth backtracking for the Superior Weapon and other rewards inside Nikki's safe. The journey after Nikki's Prize Key is challenging, so here's everything players need to know to find it and take Nikki's Bounty Reward in Dead Island 2.
Nikki's Bounty Reward Location in Dead Island 2
Players will first see Nikki's Bounty Reward safe in Dead Island 2 during the Justifiable Zombie mission with Sam B. During the mission, players go to Nikki's house with Sam B and Ronnie after some firearms. Nikki is one of the unfortunate residents in Hell-A who didn't make it out of the outbreak and is now a Screamer Zombie.
Players can explore Nikki's house after killing her and pick up a gun from Sam B in the back room on the first floor. When they go upstairs, they will find Nikki's Bounty Reward safe inside her closet in her bedroom. Unfortunately, the key will not be anywhere in sight, and players can only find it once they complete the late-game mission Boardwalking Dead.
Nikki's Prize Key Location in Dead Island 2
Once players beat the Clown Zombie during Boardwalking Dead, they can get Nikki's Prize Key. As with most of the keys in Dead Island 2, Nikki's Prize Key is found on a Zombie near the safe.
Players must go north of Nikki's house to an open hiking trail. There's a set of wooden stairs where the correct Zombie will most likely be waiting. Nikki's Prize Key is found on a Butcher Zombie named Target Practice.
Butcher Zombies are faster, stronger Apex Zombies. They are very quick on their feet, and their arms are sharpened bones that they use to slash at players in sharp jabs. Butchers are the only Zombies that have the ability to regenerate health by eating the bodies of nearby dead people and Zombies. Target Practice isn't going down without a fight, so be prepared before approaching it.
There will most likely be other Zombies in the area as well. Using an explosive or firearm is the best way to take them down. Whenever Target Practice dies, it drops Nikki's Prize Key, and players can claim their rewards.
Nikki's Bounty Reward includes the Superior Ranged Liquidator Mod and a Superior weapon called Extinction Event. Extinction Event is a powerful handgun in Dead Island 2 that deals Acid damage with direct hits and releases a poisonous cloud that affects nearby Zombies.
