A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail is teasing the next playable world coming to the popular sci-fi RPG, hinting at the world's theming. Following the HoYoverse RPG's highly anticipated launch last month, the newest game from the Genshin Impact developer saw massive success with fans. The RPG would surpass 20 million downloads within just a day and its debut gacha banner would boast sales similar to those of Genshin Impact's highest earning characters. Now, leaks are teasing the next world players will get to explore in the game.

Honkai: Star Rail's opening update features three different locations for players to explore with treasure and side quests spread throughout the playable area. Players begin the game aboard the Herta Space Station before later traveling to the planets of Jarilo-IV and the planetary ship of the Xianzhou Luofu. Star Rail's initial areas have already featured a variety of different inspirations between the snow-covered plains of Belobog and the Chinese theming of the Luofu. Now, leaks have given an idea of how Honkai: Star Rail's next locale will be themed.

A new leak from prominent HoYoverse leaker Merlin Impact reveals more details about the theming of the next playable world in Honkai: Star Rail. According to the leak, the game's third fully-fledged world will be themed around a combination of both America and France from the "late 1800s and early 1900s." Not many details are given about what to expect from the new in-game world, nor is a potential release window revealed. The third world is expected to be the first major expansion to Honkai: Star Rail's in-game playable area.

The addition of a new world to Honkai: Star Rail themed around France comes as another HoYoverse game is set to introduce a France-themed area. Genshin Impact is heavily rumored to be adding the region of Fontaine later this summer, with the region's culture and design said to be inspired by France. Star Rail's addition of a France-themed world would not be the first time the fledgling RPG has followed in Genshin's footsteps. The second major regions of both games were inspired by HoYoverse's home country of China with Genshin's Liyue and Star Rail's Xianzhou Luofu.

While World 3 is likely still far off into the future, HoYoverse recently unveiled the lineup of content coming to Star Rail's first post-launch update. Version 1.1, scheduled to debut next week, will bring three new characters to Star Rail with Silver Wolf, Luocha, and Yukong featured. Players will also be able to participate in a variety of events throughout the update, including both a management mini-game on Jarilo-VI and a Silver Wolf event. Fans of Honkai: Star Rail should have plenty to look forward to, both during Version 1.1 and into the future.

Honkai: Star Rail is available now for PC and mobile devices. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development.
