A separate currency was introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet called League Points, or LP. This currency can be used for all the same things that Pokedollars can, and even a few more, such as for crafting TMs at the TM machine at Pokemon Centers. This makes it a useful tool should players be running low on their money after purchasing all the items they need to progress.

But the problem is that Players can not acquire LP from regular battles, so LP can be a little more difficult to amass in large amounts unless players know the best methods of obtaining more. Here in this guide, players will learn the best methods of gaining LP as quickly as possible.

Trading TM Materials for League Points

Materials 1JPG

The first thing players can do to generate League Points quickly is to use the TM Machine. Throughout the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, players will likely have picked up many TM materials from all the Pokemon they have defeated as well as from the glowing points on the ground. As their name suggests, these items are used to craft the various TMs in the game. They are also, however, valuable as a means of acquiring LP, as some materials can be traded for a large sum, upwards of 100 LP or more.

Casseroya LakeJPG

One of the best methods for this is to go to the location of the False Dragon Titan, Casseroya Lake, as it has many Pokemon that drop valuable materials. Casseroya Lake is home to many Pokemon players can fight to obtain valuable TM Materials, such as Tatsugiri for their Tastugiri Scales. Players in need of extra LP can come here and fight these Pokemon, collecting materials while leveling their party, and then trade these materials for a hefty profit.

Interacting with Tera Raids

Another easy way to gather large amounts of LP quickly is to search out the Tera Raid crystals that dot the map. When players interact with a crystal, they will receive an amount of LP based on the difficulty of the raid connected to that crystal, including event Tera Raids. Players will receive LP regardless of whether they participate in the raid. So while players roam around the Paldea region completing their objectives, players can make sure to interact with any raids on their path quickly before moving on, and their supply of LP will increase quickly. Sticking around to defeat the raid will give the player valuable items, including any materials that can be traded for LP.

Defeating or Catching Wild Tera Type Pokemon

Another method for obtaining LP is to defeat or catch the various sparkling Pokemon that can be encountered around Paldea. These Pokemon with provide players with LP upon their defeat or capture, in an amount that is based on the level of the Pokemon. These Wild Tera Type Pokemon are in predetermined locations across the region, and will respawn every day.

Completing the Starfall Street Story

Time for LPJPG

The last method is one of the best ways for players to gain LP as they progress throughout the game, though it is slower than the others before it can be repeated in the endgame. This method is to challenge any Team Star bases they encounter during their adventures. Players do this by using the auto battle feature to bring in the first three Pokemon on their team, and fight the Pokemon that are being thrown out by members of Team Star in the base.

Auto Battle Base

After the player defeats a certain number of Pokemon, they will then be challenged by the Team Star Boss of the base. After every Team Star boss that players defeat, the mysterious Cassiopeia will award them with large amounts of LP. This method requires that players level their Pokemon to high levels as they progress through the story, and so this method is best utilized when also completing the other two storylines in the game.

LP From BasesJPG-1

This method of challenging Team Star's bases becomes repeatable and very efficient in the late game, as players will have the option of rematching the Team Star bases at a higher level. Team Star’s Pokemon will be around level 50, and players will need to defeat 50 Pokemon in 10 minutes through the auto battle system. Once this is done, players will be awarded LP for completing the base, with their reward being based on how long it took to win the challenge. Players can optionally rematch the Boss for extra rewards.

Mela

Players will only able to rematch each boss once per day, but the bases themselves can be repeated, though for a lesser reward if the same base is challenged consecutively. To prevent the reward from decreasing, players can challenge a different base after completing a rematch, and then returning to challenge the base again. LP gained from this method is based on the speed in which players complete the trail, so players should approach the base with Pokemon that have good type match-ups against the squad guarding the base.
