A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail's Version 1.2 is teasing a major update to one of the sci-fi RPG's most popular game modes, Simulated Universe. The launch of the newest RPG from Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse featured a variety of things for players to do from the get-go. Alongside the main story quest and Genshin staples like resource farming domains, the game also features several unique challenges like the "Forgotten Hall" and various puzzles scattered around its three worlds. Now, Simulated Universe is set to see a major update in Version 1.2.

The Simulated Universe, run by genius scientist Herta, has quickly become one of the most popular elements of Honkai: Star Rail following its launch. The roguelike challenge features players battling through a series of randomly generated rooms ranging from combat challenges to special Encounters. Winning battles and completing events rewards players with special buffs to power up their team before facing off against a major boss at the end. Simulated Universe already features multiple stages to take on and, now, it will soon be adding a new one.

The supposed update to Simulated Universe comes as just one of several leaks related to the Version 1.2 update, expected to debut in mid-July. HoYoverse recently officially confirmed Kafka, Blade, and Luka as three new characters who would be added to the game during the July update. Leaks have suggested Herta's fellow Genius Society member Screwllum may play a major role in the update, also being involved with the Simulated Universe project. Simulated Universe World 7 is also expected to come with new Planar Ornament sets for players to acquire.

With information already starting to come out about Version 1.2, HoYoverse would recently give players an in-depth look at the upcoming Version 1.1 update. The developer would also reveal a Silver Wolf-themed event, a new limited-time management mini-game, and even a log-in bonus campaign with 10 Star Rail Special Passes available. Between Version 1.1's reveals and 1.2's leaks, Honkai: Star Rail players are in for a busy summer.
