Honkai: Star Rail players are set to receive a special reward during Version 1.1 with the popular sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse giving out 10 free Star Rail Special Passes. The debut of the massively successful RPG last month brought with it a wide roster of unique characters for players to acquire. Star Rail's debut lineup features more than 20 playable characters to choose from with the second half of the Version 1.0 update recently introducing Jing Yuan. Now, Version 1.1 is set to feature even more chances for players to snag their favorite characters.

Much like Primogems and Fates in Genshin Impact, Star Rail Passes are one of the most sought-after resources within Honkai: Star Rail. Passes serve as the main gacha currency within Star Rail, with Regular Passes used for the game's permanent banner and Special Passes for the limited rotation. Players can also purchase Star Rail Passes with Stellar Jades, with the RPG giving players plenty of opportunities to farm Stellar Jades through events and in-game content. Version 1.1's recent Special Program revealed free Passes are on the way for fans.

Alongside new events and characters, Honkai: Star Rail's Version 1.1 Special Program would reveal a batch of free rewards coming with the new update. HoYoverse announced the update will feature a log-in bonus with players able to claim Star Rail Special Passes just by launching the game each day. Players logging in for seven days during the update will be rewarded with a total of 10 Special Passes for the game's limited gacha banner. The log-in bonus will be available immediately following the update through July 18th, when Version 1.2 is expected to launch.

Players will look to have plenty of opportunities to spend their free rewards throughout both the Version 1.1 and 1.2 updates. The Special Program would debut three new characters set to join Star Rail in Version 1.1 with Silver Wolf, Luocha, and Yukong appearing. Just a few days before the broadcast, HoYoverse also announced a trio of new characters coming to the game in the subsequent Version 1.2 update. The highly-anticipated Kafka will debut with Version 1.2 alongside fellow Stellaron Hunter Blade and new four-star character Luka.

The launch of Honkai: Star Rail has already looked to address many flaws within Genshin Impact that have drawn criticism from fans. Honkai: Star Rail features several quality-of-life improvements from the developer's previous game, such as players being able to switch the Trailblazer's element at any time. The RPG also makes a major improvement to Genshin Impact's Artifact system, with special items allowing players to re-roll Relics while maintaining the chosen main stat. Star Rail's Version 1.1 looks set to build on the success the game has already seen.

Honkai: Star Rail is available now for PC and mobile devices. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development.
