However, finding and defeating this particular Titan can be tricky, as the fight doesn't work exactly like the others. This guide will help Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players find and defeat the False Dragon Titan and unlock a new ability for their Legendary mount.

How To Find The False Dragon Titan

The False Dragon Titan can be found in the middle of Casseroya Lake. However, unlike the other Titans, it will not immediately appear before the player. Instead, players must search around the nearby Islands for any hints or clues about it. To save the player the trouble, the clue they should be looking for is this orange fish shown in the picture above. This orange fish is actually a Pokemon known as Tatsugiri, and when the trainer walks up to it, it will let out a cry and the False Dragon Titan will appear.

How To Beat False Dragon Titan Dondozo

The False Dragon Titan is the Water-type Pokemon known as Dondozo. Out of all the Titans, it's the strongest in terms of strength and level, sitting at a mighty level 55. To defeat it, players should use super effective moves such as Grass and Electric-type attacks.

However, Dondozo specializes in defense, so it may take a few attacks to whittle it down before moving on to phase 2. After enough damage is dealt, Dondozo will retreat, and players will need to look for another Tatsugiri on a nearby Island to trigger phase 2 of the fight.

Like other Titans, phase 2 works the same as before. Dondozo will eat a piece of the Herba Mystica and not only gain an overall stat boost but also have its health regenerated. Essentially, it'll hit harder and take less damage than in phase 1. However, Arven will now join the battle, taking some of the attacks. Players should use these opportunities to either deal massive damage to Dondozo or use items to help them in battle. After enough damage is dealt, Dondozo will finally be brought down. However, the fight is not over just yet.

Tatsugiri, The "True" Dragon Titan

After defeating Dondozo, the "True" Dragon Titan will appear, which happens to be the Tatsugiri the player was chasing around before. Players shouldn't underestimate this little fish, as while it may not appear large, it still has the overall health and stats of a Titan. Dragon Titan Tatsugiri is a level 55 Dragon and Water-type Pokemon, making it a little more difficult to deal with than Dondozo. Due to this typing, Tatsugiri is only weak to Dragon and Fairy-type attacks. Electric-type moves will still deal neutral damage though, which can be a good alternative.

Power-up Koraidon/Miraidon One Last Time

Finally, after defeating all five Titan Pokemon, players can once more feed their Koraidon/Miraidon to power them up with a new ability. At this point, all of its movement abilities should be fully unlocked, allowing it to run faster, jump higher, swim, fly, and climb. Furthermore, the Path of Legends is now finally completed. Players will need to complete the other two paths to reach the final boss if they have yet to do so already.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available for the Nintendo Switch.
