HoYoverse has confirmed a delay in the scheduled time for the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.1 Special Program, originally planned to air earlier this morning. The launch of the newest RPG from the Genshin Impact developer has already seen massive success throughout its first month. The Honkai Impact 3rd spinoff was already topping charts on App Stores throughout multiple regions before its official release and reported over 20 million downloads within just a day of its debut. Now, HoYoverse is gearing up to reveal everything about the RPG's first post-launch update.

Honkai: Star Rail would officially reveal the game's first Special Program broadcast earlier this week, setting the livestream for a Friday airing at 7:30 AM Eastern Time. The livestream is set to feature a plethora of details about everything coming in the new update for Star Rail, including new characters, events, and more. While HoYoverse has revealed little beforehand about Version 1.1, Star Rail leaks have already teased Silver Wolf and Luocha as the newest five-star characters. Now, fans will be waiting a little longer than expected for the news.

HoYoverse confirmed a delay for the Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.1 Special Program on Friday morning through the game's official social media accounts. The developer would reveal the timeslot for the event has been shifted back by just over 12 hours to an 11:30 PM Eastern Time start. The post would confirm that the livestream's typical redemption codes would also be shifted back to the new broadcast, typically with a hard time limit on their use. However, Star Rail fans won't come up empty-handed as the post confirmed a compensation reward of 100 Stellar Jades for all players.

The delay of Version 1.1's Special Program comes as HoYoverse has already started to tease players with what's to come in the following Version 1.2 update. The developer has released several new splash arts for characters expected to release in Version 1.2, including highly-anticipated five-star character Kafka. Leaks have also teased several future characters like Fu Xuan and the recently leaked Misha, as well as the new Light Cones set to feature alongside Version 1.2's new characters.

While players may be waiting a little while longer for Star Rail's newest Special Program, the developer has recently given players more to do in-game. HoYoverse launched the second phase of its Version 1.0 update last week, bringing with it both Jing Yuan and the game's first event in Boulder Town: Super League. Fans, however, have been less than thrilled with the "Fight Club"-themed event, complaining that the challenges are too easy. With the live broadcast pushed back by more than 12 hours, fans will continue to wait for more news about Honkai: Star Rail's next update.

Honkai: Star Rail is available now for PC and mobile devices. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development.
