Great Tusk is one of the exclusive Titan Pokemon players who get to fight in Pokemon Scarlet. However, they couldn't catch it when they first encountered it, as Titan Pokemon cannot be seen. This applies to all the other Titan Pokemon roaming around, as while players cannot catch their Titan-sized versions, they can capture and play with their normal-sized versions.

After defeating the game's final boss, players are finally given the opportunity they've been waiting for and catch the Quaking Earth Titan, Great Tusk. This guide will help Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players find and catch a Great Tusk.

How To Find Great Tusk in Pokemon Scarlet

As mentioned, Great Tusk can only be obtained in the post-game of Pokemon Scarlet after the final boss is defeated. Players can return to Area Zero to explore the area without interruption when the credits finish rolling. To find Great Tusk specifically, players should teleport themselves to Research Station No.4, where the crystal cave is located.

Once they're in the crystal cave, it's simply a matter of running around the area until one spawns. Specifically, they should try running around the area near the Research Station, as the highest chance of one spawning is there. While it won't be the Titan-sized version players fought initially, it's still a pretty big Pokemon, and thus it'd be pretty hard to miss. Here's an example:

After finally finding one, it's time to battle and capture it.

How To Capture Great Tusk

First and foremost, Great Tusk is a Ground and Fighting-type Pokemon. Therefore, it has numerous weaknesses in Water, Flying, Psychic, Grass, Ice, and Fairy-type moves. While it has many weaknesses, players shouldn't underestimate this Paradox Pokemon, as it has a jaw-dropping 131 Attack and Defense stat, giving it the right amount of offense and defense it needs to stand against any Pokemon opposing it.

That said, there are a few ways players can capture it with ease. First, use a Pokemon that has a good type coverage over it, thus decreasing the risk of it being too dangerous for the player. A prime example would be the Azumarill shown in the image above, which is a Water and Fairy-type Pokemon, both super effective against Great Tusk.

Secondly, like all Pokemon battles, try and drop its health into the red zone if possible, as it will increase the player's chance of catching it. Finally, since they are in the Crystal Cave in Area Zero, Dusk Balls will work just as effectively as Ultra Balls so that players can use them as a good alternative. Players should have no trouble catching the Great Tusk Paradox Pokemon using these methods.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available for the Nintendo Switch.
