In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players can catch over 400, and that's not including the unique Tera Pokemon that can appear in Raid Events. And while most of these Pokemon are "normal," there are some that stand out from the crowd, Paradox Pokemon.

Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet come in two forms, Future and Ancient. These amazing (and sometimes unsettling-looking) Pokemon are quite powerful to use in a battle, so hardcore players won't want to miss catching one. And one Ancient Paradox Pokemon that Pokemon Scarlet players will want to add to their Pokedex is Brute Bonnet, the Paradox Amoonguss.

Brute Bonnet (Paradox Amoonguss) can ONLY be caught in Pokemon Scarlet.

Where To Find Paradox Amoonguss

Pokemon Scarlet Brute Bonnet Location

Players must beat Pokemon Scarlet (by beating all the Gym Leaders and the final Boss) before attempting to locate Brute Bonnet since it won't appear before then, similar to all Paradox Pokemon. Once completed, players should head over to Area Zero (the center of the map) and enter the Zero Gate.

At the Zero Gate, players should select Research Gate No. 2 since that's the most common area to find Brute Bonnet (Paradox Amoonguss). And as an added bonus, there's also a slight chance of a Paradox Magneton (Sandy Shocks) spawning in this area. But, if players can't seem to find this Mushroom Paradox Pokemon, they can try searching for it in Research Gate No. 3.

How To Catch Brute Bonnet

If players are searching around Research Gate No. 2 they should be able to spot a Paradox Amoonguss fairly quickly (if at Research No. 3, it may take a little longer). One method of "forcing" Brute Bonnet into spawning is clearing the area of Wild Pokemon. Players can battle each Pokemon themselves or send out their Pokemon via the Pokemon Auto-Battle feature. Alternatively, players can simply leave the area and then return, thus resetting the spawned Wild Pokemon.

After clearing enough Wild Pokemon Paradox Amoonguss should spawn, meaning it's time to catch it. The best Pokemon to use against Amoonguss is Bug-type Pokemon, like the powerful Lokix. But, players should be careful using Bug-type moves since it can OHKO Brute Bonnet. There's also a very slim chance that a Shiny Brute Bonnet spawns (it'll have blue spots), so players should scan the entire well before moving on.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available now for the Nintendo Switch.
