Donphan became something of a star in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, being the only Pokemon aside from the Box Legendaries to receive both an ancient and future Paradox form. It's not exactly clear why, but both Great Tusk and Iron Treads are fantastic Pokemon with great competitive potential and interesting designs.

How to Get Phanpy in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Phanpy has a fairly wide spawn range, being mostly seen in Western and Southern Paldea. Players will have the most luck in the Asado Desert between Cascarrafa and Porta Mirinda. It can be found at any time of day and in any weather condition, and it cannot be found holding a held item. Here are all the locations Phanpy can be caught in:
- South Province (Area Four)
- West Province (Area One)
- Asado Desert
Phanpy can also be found in two-star raids.
How to Evolve Phanpy in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
There are multiple ways to get a Donphan in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, but evolving a Phanpy is the most reliable. Players don't have to do anything special to evolve Phanpy, it just needs to get to Level 25, where it will automatically evolve. Players can encourage leveling by battling using EXP Share, using Rare Candies, or EXP Candies found from raids and on the ground.
How to Get Donphan in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Donphan has a slightly smaller spawn range than Phanpy, though it shouldn't be too difficult for players to find in the wild. The important thing to note is that it also spawns in The Great Crater of Paldea alongside its Paradox Form (Great Tusk or Iron Treads, depending on the game), though this doesn't appear on the habitat map due to the secrecy surrounding the area. - Asado Desert
- West Province (Area Two)
- South Province (Area Six)
- The Great Crater of Paldea
Donphan can also be found in four-star raids.
