Distant relatives of the Future Paradox Pokemon Iron Hands, Makuhita and Hariyama are back from Gen 3 in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Hariyama is an absolute tank, and being able to take hit after hit makes it excellent in Tera raids. While Iron Hands dominates the lineage in terms of stats, Hariyama is still a great pure Fighting-type option for those that haven't gotten to Area Zero yet. Here's how to get both Makuhita and Hariyama in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Makuhita, as its habitat Dex entry suggests, is everywhere. It doesn't appear as much towards the top of the map, but players are almost guaranteed to run into a Makuhita at some point, and will be able to find one in these locations to complete the Pokedex:

It's easy to evolve Makuhita in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. All the player needs to do is get Makuhita to Level 24, and it will evolve into Hariyama. It should be noted that Pokemon will not evolve while auto-battling.
