Best Light Cone

Back to All Characters

As a Nihility character, Pela is highly sought-after for her debuffing abilities, especially since there are limited options within this path in Honkai: Star Rail. Her ultimate significantly reduces enemies' DEF while dealing AoE Ice damage, and her skill can remove buffs from single enemies, making her valuable in various battles.

With her primary role as an enemy debuffer, she can also serve as a sub-DPS and toughness-breaker when paired with characters like Asta, particularly against enemies weak to them. Choosing how to build Pela in Honkai: Star Rail and selecting a suitable light cone depends on player preference and team composition, but there are numerous excellent options available for her regardless.

5 Void

Honkai_ Star Rail – Pela and Void
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 317
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 264
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 846
  • Effect : At the beginning of battle, increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% for 3 turn(s).

Considering Pela's role as an ideal character for inflicting negative status effects on enemies, it is generally recommended that players prioritize building her with Effect Hit Rate. This is important even though her ultimate already has a base 100% chance to inflict the Exposed debuff. Some may assume that this guarantees consistent debuffing, but it's worth noting that enemies may have resistance to certain debuffs. Building Pela with Effect Hit Rate can help ensure more reliable status infliction.

Additionally, as an Ice character, Pela can be particularly useful for inflicting Frozen on enemies, making a high effect hit rate even more beneficial. In this regard, Void is an ideal 3-star light cone option that is relatively easier to superimpose due to its rarity, making it a viable F2P choice to some extent.

4 Eyes of the Prey

Honkai_ Star Rail – Pela and Eyes of the Prey
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 476
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 330
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 952
  • Effect : Increases Effect Hit Rate of its wearer by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% and increases DoT by 24%/30%/36%/42%/48% .

While the artwork of Eyes of the Prey features Sampo, this 4-star light cone is can be suitable for other Nihility characters like Pela as well since it provides a benefit in increasing the Effect Hit Rate just like the Void. Although Pela doesn't typically focus on Damage over Time (DoT), this effect can be advantageous in various scenarios, such as in Simulated Universe challenges, particularly if players have chosen the Nihility path.

3 Good Night and Sleep Well

Honkai_ Star Rail – Pela and Good Night and Sleep Well
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 476
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 330
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 952
  • Effect : For every debuff the target enemy has, the DMG dealt by the wearer increases by 12%/15%/18%/21%/24% , stacking up to 3 time(s). This effect also applies to DoT.

Good Night and Sleep Well is another 4-star light cone that primarily enhances Pela's sub-DPS role compared to other available 4-star light cones for the Nihility path. Given Pela's ability to inflict multiple debuffs on the enemy, particularly when combined with other Nihility characters like Welt, she can significantly amplify her damage output with her traces.

2 In the Name of the World

Honkai_ Star Rail – Pela and In the Name of the World
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 582
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 463
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 1058
  • Effect : Increases the wearer’s DMG to debuffed enemies by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% . When the wearer uses their Skill, the Effect Hit Rate for this attack increases by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% , and ATK increases by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% .

Being a 5-star light cone and considered Welt's signature light cone, In the Name of the World is an excellent choice for Nihility characters like Pela, offering a range of beneficial effects that enhance her capabilities in multiple ways. This light cone not only increases Pela's Effect Hit Rate and ATK specifically for her skill, but also boosts her overall damage against debuffed enemies. As a result, Pela can unleash more potent attacks while maintaining greater consistency in applying the Frozen effect. However, if players are fortunate enough to acquire both this light cone and Welt himself, it is a more fitting option for him, as it synergizes better with his kit and enables him to unleash significant damage output with his skill.

1 Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat

Honkai_ Star Rail – Pela and Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat
  • Base ATK (LVL 80): 476
  • Base DEF (LVL 80): 330
  • Base HP (LVL 80): 952
  • Effect : When the wearer hits an enemy and if the hit enemy is not already Ensnared, then there is a 60%/70%/80%/90%/100% base chance to Ensnare the hit enemy. Ensnared enemies’ DEF decreases by 12%/13%/14%/15%/16% for 1 turn(s).

It may come as a surprise to some players that a 4-star light cone can outperform a 5-star option, but this is indeed the case, especially for those who haven't fully optimized Pela's damage potential alongside her debuff capabilities and want to focus on maximizing the number of debuffs applied. Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat allows Pela to not only utilize the debuffs already present in her kit, but also apply an Ensnared debuff, further reducing enemies' DEF and enabling the team to deal even greater damage.

The notable aspect of this light cone is that its effect isn't limited to a specific condition such as Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, which means Pela can apply debuffs even with her Basic ATK, making it a cost-effective option in terms of skill points, and can apply them in an AoE range through her Ultimate. It's important to mention that while higher superimposes enhance the consistency, the base DEF decrease percentage is not significantly higher, making even a single copy of this light cone a viable option.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
