Floette might not look like much of a threat, but it can do some very strong work once it evolves into Florges. But how do Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players actually evolve Floette into Florges?

The grass-fairy Pokemon was a bit of a standout during the Mightiest Mark Charizard Tera Raid event that hit Pokemon Scarlet & Violet in December 2022. Though fans primarily remember the power of Flutter Mane and Azumarill from the event, Florges also proved its worth during the event.

Florges has the ability to carry players through some of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s bigger challenges. Here’s how to evolve Floette and now to get a Florges without even doing so.

How to Evolve Floette into Florges in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Players can evolve Floette into Florges in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet by using a Shiny Stone on it. Floette is the only Pokemon that evolves by using a Shiny Stone in the base version of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, but previous games have seen Togetic, Mincinno, and Roselia evolve by Shiny Stone as well.

Shiny Stones can be found in Paldea in a number of different ways. Players can acquire an infinite number of Shiny Stones through the Porto Marinada auction house, which has random lots that may include Shiny Stones. Alongside this, players can also get a free Shiny Stone as a reward for catching 150 different Pokemon and by finding one on the ground on the outskirts of Alfornada in this location:

How to Catch Florges

Though players can evolve Floette into Florges using a Shiny Stone, players can also catch a Florges without having to bother. The Pokemon appears as a rare spawn in North Province Area Three in the area surrounding the Fairy Crew's Team Star Base run by Ortega. The Pokemon has a low chance of appearing, but players can improve their odds by eating a sandwich that boosts encounter rates with fairy-type Pokemon.

On top of this, Florges has a chance of appearing in five-star Tera Raid battles. While players can join raids online and scour the dens that appear in their own game, it’s worth noting that there are over 90 different Pokemon that can appear in five-star raids. Though it’s possible to get Florges from these raids, players are much better served just catching one in the wild or evolving a Floette rather than rolling the dice.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
