Mudbray is a reasonably easy Pokemon to catch, and is accessible in the early game. Players can find it in wetlands or mountainous areas. Though more frequent in mountainous regions, players are more likely to encounter one in the wetlands early in the game. Here are all the locations where players can find Mudbray:
- South Province (Area Two)
- South Province (Area Four)
- South Province (Area Six)
- South Province (Area Five)
- West Province (Area One)
- East Province (Area One)
- Glaseado Mountain
- North Province (Area One)
Players can also find Mudbray in two-star Tera Raid Battles. Two-star Tera Raids are generally straightforward, so players can complete them solo. Mudbray caught from Tera Raid Battles are more likely to have higher stats.

Mudbray requires no unique method to evolve. Players can evolve Mudbray into Mudsdale simply by raising its level to 30 using the standard methods; EXP Share, auto-battling, Rare Candies, or XP Candies. Players can easily farm Rare and EXP Candies by participating in Tera Raids.
