Pokemon Scarlet & Violet sees the return of the cute little cat Meowth, which can evolve into its final and majestic form of Persian. Both of these cats are normal type Pokemon that can be found wandering all over the Paldea Region. However, they are not the only cute little kitties that make their return to the franchise.
In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, a certain little viking cat Pokemon can be found. With a little bit of time and a decent amount of reading, players will be able to obtain themselves the angry little thing, and make a new friend in the process. Here is how players can obtain a Galarian Meowth and evolve it into a Perrserker.
Obtaining a Galarian Meowth
If players are interested in getting their hands on a Galaran Meowth in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, either for collecting or for battle then there are a few steps they will have to take. Specifically, the steps that lead up to the Mesagoza academy. Indeed, players will have to go to school in order to obtain themselves a little steel kitten.
Players will have to take classes from the stylish language teacher, Salvatore. Apart from learning about some simple phrases in various languages, the benefits of going to Salvatore’s class is both for the items that players can get for passing their tests, but also for the increase in friendship that can be obtained for Salvatore.
Players have the ability to become friends with all of the teachers in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Mesagoza Academy. There are several reasons to do this, but the main reason is in the rewards that can be received by the player at the end of these miniature side quests. Players can obtain rewards from taking the tests the teachers give, but if players spend the time to increase their friendship with each teacher, then they shall have a reward at the end that is better than the others.
In the case of Salvatore the language teacher, his reward to players that earn his friendship will be a level 5 Galarian Meowth. This Meowth does not have an entry in the Pokedex , and is not necessary to complete the Pokedex, but is certainly cute enough to be worth the effort.
Unfortunately, this also has one downside. In order to unlock all of the classes available to take from the teachers, players will have to continue to progress through the Victory Road storyline of the Paldea Region. These classes are unlocked depending on how many badges players have obtained, and so it will take some time to unlock them all. This means that a Galarian Meowth is not something that players will be able to obtain by themselves until they have progressed sufficiently through the game's story mode.
Evolving Galarian Meowth
To evolve a Galarian Meowth, players will need to use any means at their disposal to level their new little warrior cat to level 28. These levels can come from battles, EXP or rare candies, or by the miniscule amount of exp obtained by picnicking with Pokemon. Once players have done this, their Meowth will evolve into a Perrserker, and players will be ready to take it on their many adventures around the Paldea Region.
