Table of contents

There are quite a few interesting new Pokemon scattered throughout Pokemon Scarlet and Violet but Scovillain is easily one of the most intriguing. This strange two-headed creature is a combination Fire and Grass-type that looks like something straight out of Plants vs. Zombies. Those that are looking for a good early-game Grass Pokemon that is capable of scorching (quite literally) its competition should consider grabbing a Scovillain as soon as they can. To do so, players first need to get their hands on a Capsakid. The following guide shows players where to find Capsakid in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and how to evolve it into Scovillain.

How To Find Capsakid In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Finding a Capsakid is relatively simple, as the tiny creatures are abundant in the areas far West of Naranja Academy. Players shouldn't have a problem running into quite a few Capsakid as they make their way through West Province (Area One) and the Asado Desert. The tiny Pokemon can be a bit harder to spot for those playing handheld mode, especially if they're riding atop their speedy Legendary mount. Players should be sure to keep their eyes peeled for any small movements to spot the itty bitty Spicy Pepper Pokemon.

How To Evolve Capsakid Into Scovillain

Evolving Capsakid into Scovillain is, thankfully, incredibly simple. All players need to do is expose their Capsakid to a Fire Stone. It doesn't matter what level a player's Capsakid is, as soon as they choose the Fire Stone from their inventory and use it on the Pokemon it will evolve into Scovillain. There are quite a few ways for players to find a Fire Stone in both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and many players will stumble across the stone while exploring organically. Players should be sure to snag all the shining items they see on the ground, as well as keep an eye out for red beams of light, which signal Pokeballs that can be picked up around each area.

Where To Find A Fire Stone

Although players can find a Fire Stone by simply exploring the vast region of Paldea, there are a couple of other ways to snag the necessary stones. The first way is by purchasing one from one of the many Delibird Presents stores that are spread all throughout the region. These specialty stores sell a range of goods from Pokeballs, to Rotom Phone Cases, to evolution stones and more. Depending on what gate players leave from, they can find a Delibird Presents store in either Cascarrafa or Levincia. There's also one in the starting town (with the Pokemon Academy) Mesagoza. Evolutionary stones will set a player back around 3,000 Poke Dollars.

Another method to snag a guaranteed Fire Stone is to capture Pokemon and unlock their volumes in the Pokedex. By accessing the Pokedex and pressing the X button on their controller, players will find a special trophy section that will reward them with items once they discover enough Pokemon. After players manage to find 60 different Pokemon (and catch them to log their volumes) they'll be rewarded with a Fire Stone.
