Those looking to get their hands on a unique Ghost Pokemon for their Paldean team in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet should keep their eyes peeled for Gimmighoul. This funny-looking creature spends most of its time inside an inconspicuous chest, guarding its treasures against any would-be robbers. Players that spend a lot of time exploring will likely come across one of these small Pokemon hidden behind or on top of objects. This is Gimmighoul in its roaming form (a form that will be only accessible in Pokemon GO). Interacting with these creatures rewards players with a Gimmighoul Coin, but those that want to properly catch the Ghost-type in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will need to find its chest form. Here's how players can find Gimmighoul and what they need to do to evolve it into its stronger form, Gholdengo.

How To Find Gimmighoul In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Finding a Gimmighoul is actually pretty easy. These creatures can be found hidden within chests that are located at the top of Watch Towers spread all over Paldea. Once players spot a Watch Tower, they simply need to climb to the top of it and interact with the chest. Doing so will cause the Gimmighoul to pop out and will immediately prompt a battle. From there, it's as easy as catching any other Pokemon, by either whittling down its health or hitting it with status effects.

Once players have captured a Gimmighoul, they'll have a long road ahead of them if they want to evolve it into Gholdengo.

How To Evolve Gimmighoul Into Gholdengo

Turning Gimmighoul into Gholdengo requires players to find and secure 999 Gimmighoul Coins. As players travel throughout Paldea, they'll discover tiny Gimmighoul (in their roaming form, outside of a chest) hidden in all sorts of locations. These creatures are small and can be difficult to spot, but are usually found hidden behind signs, on rocks, and in other inconspicuous areas. Interacting with a Gimmighoul will reward players with a random amount of Gimmighoul coins, and catching another chest form Gimmighoul will reward players with a large cache of coins (usually 50+).

Once players have amassed 999 Gimmighoul Coins, all they need to do is level up their chosen Gimmighoul once, and it will transform into Gholdengo, the Ghost and Steel-type Coin Entity Pokemon.
