In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, many of the in battle held items make their return to the series. These items provide the player with advantages to their team of Pokemon in battle, ranging from different defensive items that protect or restore Pokemon that serve as damage takers for the team to support items that affect the utility of abilities or non-damaging moves Pokemon may know.

One of these items is the Metronome, which serves to strengthen the moves that are used regularly by players' Pokemon. Here is how players can obtain a Metronome in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Metronome

The Metronome is a held item that can be utilized by the player to increase the damage of any move that was used during the previous turn during the battle. This causes moves that the player uses consecutively, turn after turn, to be boosted in the amount of damage said move can do.

This increase will stack with itself until a different move is used, but it will also stop increasing after a few turns in battle. Nevertheless, it serves as a useful way of empowering moves that players intend to use many times in a row during a battle, such as moves that are effective against the numerous Tera Raid Pokemon that dot the map in the Paldea Region.

Obtaining a Metronome

Players seeking to obtain this power-boosting item for themselves need only to have enough money and the means of heading to the correct location. This location is one of the Delibird Presents that can occasionally be found in the towns across the region. In this case, the Metronome is located in the Levincia branch of Delibird Presents.

Players can reach Levincia by either flying to any Pokemon Center near Levincia or by walking the eastern road that begins in Mesagoza. From the east gate in Mesagoza, players can continue to move east along the road, following it as it curves around the landmasses and mountains, through the town of Artazon, and out of the town as the road curves to the northeast.

Players may have to contend with some of the members of the Team Star Bosses, Mela, if they are early enough in the game or just have not yet fought Team Star. Once players have followed this road north, they will eventually see the large town where they will be able to claim a Metronome for themselves.

Delibird Levincia

Once players arrive in Lavincia, they will be able to find its branch of Delibird Presents on the north side of the city, past the Electric Gym and its Leader Iono, just down the street a bit from the Pokemon Center. In this store, players can purchase the Metronome for 15,000 Pokedollars, so players will have to have some money in their wallet before they can buy it.

Once players have the Metronome they will have a good means of increasing the damage of their most used moves significantly, especially if they use moves that are already quite powerful.
