If there's a great thing about Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, it's definitely its Tera Raid events. It's always an exciting experience to participate in one of these exclusive battles. The Blissey Tera Raid was just a few days ago, but it seems that Pokemon fans already have something new to look forward to.

Samurott is the next Pokemon that players will be able to catch in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid dens. This guide will help players set up the perfect strategy before coming face-to-face with this threatening creature.

How To Participate In The Tera Raid Battle Event

The last Tera Raid event was only a 5-Star battle event, but this time around, players will get the chance to get themselves an extremely powerful Pokemon in a 7-Star Tera Raid. This means that the requirements to be able to find Samurott are slightly higher. In order to encounter 7-Star Tera Raids, players must have already completed the main story of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, beat all gym rematches and the Academy Ace tournament, and finish a minimum of ten Raid Battles ranked at least 4-Stars.

The player will also have to update their game to the latest version and check the Poke Portal News by visiting the Mystery Gift tab of the Poke Portal menu. If they meet all the requirements mentioned above and have checked the News Portal, players can find Samurott simply by interacting with Black Tera Crystals.

Gamers will only be able to catch this Samurott once, but they will have a decent amount of time to try to attempt the raid. The Samurott Tera Raid event will be live between March 31 at 00:00 UTC and April 2 at 23:59 UTC, and then it'll be available once again from April 7 at 00:00 UTC until April 9 at 23:59.

How To Catch Samurott

In order to catch Samurott in this event, players will first have to defeat it. This is actually the only way to obtain this Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet without resorting to using the Pokemon Home app. Samurott is a Water-Type Pokemon, but it can terastallize and become a Bug-Type Pokemon - giving it great defenses to what would normally be a weakness to Water-Type moves.

Samurott has strong Attack and Special Attack base stats, so it'll definitely hit hard; thankfully, all of its other stats are pretty average, making it easier to deal damage to it. Since Samurott terastallizes into a Bug-Type Pokemon, Fire-, Flying-, and Rock-type moves will work great against it. In terms of offensive power, what matters in Tera Raid battles is the Type that the Pokemon has terastallized into.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
