Ruby Hoshino is the titular deuteragonist of the series and the daughter of Ai Hoshino, and sister to Aqua Hoshino. She was a sickly girl named Sarina Tendoji who died of cancer in her past life under the care of Gorou Amamiya before being reincarnated as the child of her favorite idol.
Having been taught how to be an idol from an early age by her mother, she always had a goal of becoming an idol singer. She reformed Ai’s old idol group and strives every day to fulfill the dreams of her mother with the support of her brother and friends.

Aquamarine Hoshino, commonly known as Aqua is the titular protagonist of the series and the twin brother of Ruby Hoshino. In his previous life, he was the doctor who cared for Sarina Tendoji and Ai Hoshino before his death, he was then reincarnated as her son.
He also features on LoveNow and puts up a stunning show every time. Although he initially tries to hinder Ruby’s dreams, later on, he supports her and helps the new B-Komachi group prepare for the biggest gig of their career.
4 Kana Arima
She is a child prodigy actress and also childhood friends with Aqua and Ruby, though her popularity had plummeted at the time of the main story, she still possessed all the tools to make it big in the entertainment industry. She developed self-esteem issues along the line because of the lack of demand for her talents.
Aqua and Ruby asked her to join the new B-Komachi group which also consisted of Akane Kurokawa. Meeting Aqua and Ruby again helped her regain her confidence and reroute her path to stardom.
3 Taiki Himekawa
Taiki Himekawa is a very talented award-winning actor affiliated with the Lalalie Theatrical Company. Despite his status in the entertainment industry, he does not seem to care too much about keeping up appearances and possesses a laid-back personality; evident when he admits he never tried to learn to read kanji.
He becomes very different when it comes to acting though, giving it his all to look like the superstar he is. He prides himself in his ability to completely take over any character he is asked to portray.
2 Ai Hoshino
Ai Hoshino, despite not getting enough screen time, is a titular character in the anime series. She was the lead idol of the old B-Komachi and made her way to stardom even though she had an abusive childhood. With the help of Masaya Kaburagi who got her into the Lalallie Theatrical Company and Ichigo Saitou, she was able to showcase her talent to the world.
She became pregnant and had to hide the fact from the public to protect her identity as an idol. She was murdered by a stalker a few years after she gave birth, and her murder set the stage for most of the events in the series.
1 Akane Kurokawa
Akane was introduced in the reality show LoveNow. Due to an accident that caused an injury to Yuki Sumi on set, she received death threats from fans and was driven to the depths of depression. Aqua stops her from committing suicide and becomes his girlfriend for the plot of the show.
She learned to completely take on Ai Hoshino’s persona when she heard that she was Aqua’s ideal woman, from her mannerisms to her speech patterns and thought processes, so much so that she eventually made Aqua fall in love with her. Her ability to play personalities to a fault made her an excellent actress.
