True Jedi are masters of the Force and know how to use it to their advantage in any scenario, and one Star Wars Jedi: Survivor player proves just that with their use of Force Slow against one of the game's many bosses. Cal Kestis has plenty of force abilities for players to utilize in his latest adventure across the galaxy, whether its traditional powers like Force Push or Kestis' own unique ability to sense the Force history of different items. However, the player in question shows how the right use of Force Slow can let other players turn an opponent's own weapons against them.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor picks up five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order, with Kestis continuing to grow into a more powerful Jedi Knight while he and the original crew of the Mantis have gone their separate ways. He has continued his fight against the Empire, though he has begun to question how effective it has been as the galaxy only seems to be getting worse. This ultimately leads to a discovery which could provide Kestis with the fresh start he never thought he'd have, leading to him reuniting with his old friends while pitting him against new foes along the galactic frontier.

One of these new foes is the massive Gen'Dai Rayvis, leader of a marauder group which finds itself at odds with Kestis shortly after the latter arrives at the planet Koboh. It ultimately leads to a showdown between the two warriors as the young Jedi searches for a planet which may provide safety from the Empire for himself and many others. It was in this boss battle where Reddit user Loj35 discovered a Force Slow trick allowing players to slow down Rayvis' rocket barrage attack and throw his own rockets back at him.

The rocket barrage is one of many attacks players need to be wary of while battling Rayvis on the Shattered Moon station orbiting Koboh, supplementing his arsenal with blasters and melee weapons to make him deadly at all ranges. It can make finding an opening to attack the Gen'Dai difficult, especially on the game's higher difficulties. That said, Loj35's clip shows how using the Force Slow trick kills two birds with one stone as players get the explosive damage from the rockets while also stunning Rayvis momentarily and allowing players to attempt a lightsaber attack.

It isn't uncommon in Star Wars to see Jedi and Sith use the Force to turn an enemy's own weapons against them, whether it is Kylo Ren stopping Rey's lightsaber in its tracks or Obi-Wan Kenobi using General Greivous' own blaster to kill him. However, players could argue there is a greater risk when it comes to doing the same with explosives given how easily they can go off. It becomes a question of weighing risk to reward, but as Loj35 shows, a Jedi truly in-tune with Force may not need to worry.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is currently available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
