The original title that made Team17 so popular was the PC release of the turn-based artillery title Worms from 1995. In this simplistic 2D game players would control a group of worms that would rain bullets upon the opposing team that would also have a group of worms at their disposal. With a variety of maps to start their warfare on players were able to freely explore these environments while they find the high ground.

As mentioned players would have various weapons and tools for them to use which could help them defeat the worms on the other side. This simple format amazed players and started the success of the Worms franchise which will be seen plenty of times later on.

9 The Survivalist

Set in the universe surrounding the game The Escapist, another title that wasn't developed by Team17 but was published comes The Survivalist, a game that the indie developer did create. In this survival sandbox players can join with up to three friends as they attempt to survive in the jungle through any means necessary.

Players can even train monkeys to help them with general tasks around the island to better their chances at survival. Those that are looking for a challenge can even test their luck in the temples that are scattered around the island for the best loot possible.

Open Warfare 2 remained like the previous titles of the franchise allowing players to use various weaponry that many have come to love; the infamous Sheep is one of many to make a return that is sure to confuse an opponent before it explodes on impact. Besides this, Worms: Open Warfare 2 also revealed some great new battlefields for players to attempt single player or with others.

7 Alien Breed: Evolution

Alien Breed: Evolution is an isometric shooter that has the player defending themselves against aliens. While first releasing on Xbox in 2009, the title got an update and a rename to Alien Breed: Impact for PC that saw even more players be able to enjoy this Sci-Fi title.

Alien Breed was a franchise that was incredibly popular back in the day before it seemed to disappear though with Alien Breed: Evolution this no longer seems to be the case. With an incredible singe player mode as well as a co-op mode a player can enjoy the intense story and combat of this franchise with a friend.

6 Worms 2

Following on from the success of the original Worms title in 1995, Worms 2 received just as much praise for the artillery genre when Team17 developed and published it in 1998. It received plenty of improvements since the original title such as the introduction of a map editor that had only been seen in the director's cut of the original title and plenty more weapons.

Besides this, Worms also received an entirely new art style which did change once again later in the series though this is by far one of its most noticeable changes from the original.

5 Super Magbot

Imagine a platformer where the player is unable to jump, well that is exactly what Team17 inspired to create when they developed Super Magbot. Thankfully the little robot that players control isn't completely glued to the ground as there are alternative ways of making it across different platforms in this brilliant 2D title.

Through the power of magnets players can hop between the surfaces which can make for some pretty mind-boggling moments on how to scale across certain levels. This alongside the incredible classic gaming soundtrack makes Super Magbot an addictive experience.

4 Worms 3D

An iconic turning point in the Worms franchise was its transformation from a 2D title to that of 3D, this change saw the use of different maps that required players to change their transform to better succeed in battles.

To match this new 3D direction the worms themselves also needed a make-over to better fit the design of the rest of the game though many of the key features of the franchise remained the same. However, players could finally design their own teams allowing another layer of personalization to the battlefield.

3 Stunt GP

A car in sixth place in Stunt GP

Team17 truly has developed plenty of genres over the years with another classic title that has been continuously praised by players is the racing title known as Stunt GP. In this game players grab the steering wheel of radio-controlled cars as they race them across various tracks.

Unlike other racing titles due to the cars being radio-controlled the player's car isn't going to last forever, the longer they drive around the battery will begin to drain until the car is drastically slowed; out of the five game modes available many of these take this mechanic into thought which makes for some interesting gameplay moments.

2 Overcooked! 2

As for recent titles from the UK based indie company, Overcooked! is a game that is greatly benefited from being enjoyed with friends though it does risk breaking these bonds. Due to the success of the first title, Overcooked! 2 was created which continued to challenge friendships.

In this cooking frenzy, players must maneuver around various kitchens and create the dishes required as soon as possible. This can be also be enjoyed by a single player through controlling two characters at once, though it can be even more stressful than relying on a friend.

1 Worms Armageddon

However, out of all the games developed by Team17 it is of no surprise that the best game they have created has to be Worms Armageddon from the Worms Franchise. Out of all available titles even considering those that are 3D, players still consider the classic 2D version of the turn-based title to be the best.

With Worms Armageddon releasing in 1999 It also benefited from the new art style brought along by Worms 2. It also gave players with plenty of new modes to enjoy during the multiplayer of the game such as enabling handicaps or teaming up with fellow worms.
