The newest trailer for Genshin Impact showcases the gameplay for the game's newest five-star character, Dehya, scheduled to release with the launch of Version 3.5. HoYoverse has been busy teasing plenty of content set to come to the game as a part of its newest update, between events like the Windblume Festival and new story content. The update will also feature a pair of characters added to the growing roster with Sumeru's Dehya and Mondstadt's Mika joining the RPG. Now, players won't have to wait much longer to try out Dehya.

Dehya has been rumored to be coming to Genshin Impact since her first introduction in the Version 3.0 Archon Quest. The Eremite mercenary and bodyguard for Sumeru City's Dunyarzad has played a major role throughout the main story of Genshin Impact's newest region, helping the Traveler to ally themselves with the desert Eremites. Players also got a teaser about her weapon choice from early on, revealing in the first story of Sumeru that Dehya wields a claymore. Now, Dehya is ready to join the game with a brand-new gameplay showcase.

Genshin Impact's newest Character Demo, titled "Dehya: Fiery Lioness," shows off Dehya's gameplay in a brawl with a group of Eremites antagonizing Aaru Village. The flashy trailer backed by a rock soundtrack shows off Dehya's Normal Attacks, weaving in plenty of punches along with her Claymore. Dehya's Elemental Skill creates a "Fiery Sanctum" AoE field, dealing Pyro damage and causing subsequent casts and Normal Attacks to deal additional Pyro damage. Her Elemental Burst tosses away her claymore in favor of a series of Pyro damage punches.

Dehya's release in Version 3.5 will not be the only content featuring the fiery Eremite in Genshin Impact's newest update. The debut of the character will come alongside the addition of a new Story Quest focused on Dehya, available immediately after the patch launches. Genshin Impact has also revealed which four-star characters will join Dehya on her debut banner with a trio of powerful characters in Bennett, Barbara, and Collei running alongside her. The patch will debut Dehya's signature weapon, Beacon of the Reed Sea, which increases ATK after hitting enemies with an Elemental Skill.

Dehya's addition to Genshin Impact will come as one of the last major characters featured in Sumeru's Archon Quest. With Dehya officially debuting, only Kaveh is left unreleased from characters appearing in the region's main story with Kaveh already confirmed for a Version 3.6 release. Version 3.6 will also bring the launch of the long-awaited Baizhu after multiple years of speculation regarding his debut. Fans of Dehya won't have to wait much longer to pick her up with Version 3.5 officially launching later today.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
