Of the 152 Shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, 32 can only be found up above scattered across the Sky Islands. Many of the Shrines found in this new Tears of the Kingdom zone require players to complete a challenge before being granted entrance at all, like moving a green crystal to its proper spot. Then, when the Shrine appears, it's as simple as walking in and taking the Light of Blessing.

Jirutagumac Shrine is not one of these – it's a hidden Shrine found only after players successfully skydive to its specific location, but it won't reward Link just for getting there. Even after gaining entrance, players will have to face a physics puzzle. This one, nicknamed "Wings on Wind," tests players' ability to construct a reliable airborne vehicle with the Wing Zonai Device.

Jirutagumac Shrine Location

Jirutagumac Shrine is found in the Sky Islands above the Lanayru region, which can be accessed by clearing Sludge from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower at coordinates (2846, 0573, 0375) and activating it. On the way up, players should see a gigantic sphere rotating in place like some kind of Death Star, a resemblance made even more accurate thanks to the Shrine's laser-like green glow within. Indeed, players can see the Shrine through a hole in the surface of the sphere as it rotates to reveal this entrance.

Use the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower and, at the apex of Link's launch, open the Paraglider and glide over to a series of Sky Islands just above the sphere, part of the Lanayru Sky Archipelago. It is technically possible to just fly right into the rotating hole on its surface, but it's much more reliable to land on the platform above it, wait for the right moment, then dive inside.

Players with good aim can also use Recall on a rotating device inside the sphere when the hole reveals it. This freezes the whole sphere in place for a second, giving players some wiggle room to get in and access Jirutagumac Shrine, but it's a pretty precise maneuver. To make things a bit less tedious, remember to save the game before diving down, as it will let Link try again much faster if he misses the hole (or if he dies).

Jirutagumac Shrine Walkthrough (A Flying Device)

When players walk into Jirutagumac Shrine they will see a large room with three ramps that point left, forward, and right. A few Wing Zonai Devices can be seen here, so pick one up and head over to the right ramp.

Link doesn't actually need to use the left or center ramps, the right one will take him to both the Chest and the path to the Shrine's exit. Pick up a Wing, drop it on this rightmost ramp facing down, then quickly climb on top before it slides down and becomes airborne.

By staying in the center of the Wing it will remain mostly balanced, but players can also move to shift weight distribution and gain some level of control over its direction in the air. The ramps should guide the plane directly to other platforms with no need to turn, but if Link goes off course or the plane doesn't have the momentum to make it, quickly swap to Recall and reverse time so it goes back to its starting position, ready for another try.

But once players have made it to the area on the right, they will see both the Jirutagumac Shrine Chest and new Zonai Devices that can help propel Link to the end. Attach a fan to the Wing's rear with Ultrahand, then walk down a ramp that leads to the other side of the room and wait for a Skateboard to fall. There should be a constant stream of Skateboard Zonai Devices falling off the ledge within Ultrahand's reach, so grab one out of mid-air as soon as the ability highlight turns green, and attach it to the bottom of the Wing Device.

If the player doesn't feel confident in their ability to snatch a falling object out of mid-air, return to the beginning with Recall (or reset the Shrine) and head to the left side first instead of the right. Grab a Skateboard sitting here, attach it to the Wing's underside, then use Recall on the plane to get back to the start and take the right ramp once again.

Either way, after attaching the Fan and Skateboard to the Wing, place it on the runway that extends towards the end of the Shrine and fire an arrow at it (or activate it another way) while Link is standing on top. It should have more than enough power to bring him over the wide gap to the end of Jirutagumac.

How To Get The Jirutagumac Shrine Chest

The Chest in Jirutagumac Shrine is found above the rightmost area on what looks like an unreachable platform. The easiest way to get up here is to pick up the Wing, rotate it so its tips balance it on either side of a small gap below, then use Ascend while standing on this makeshift bridge. Inside, players will find a Large Zonaite ore, which can be used to replenish or upgrade Link's Zonai battery.
